Mirror Mirror Hotel Café & Restaurant Rayong — Hotel in Rayong Province

Take my review with the grain of salt. Within my experience of many 4-5 stars hotel. This is the first time I’ve encountered such behavior and service from a hotel. Let’s start

My girlfriend and I booked the hotel in advance and asked if it was pet-friendly. They confirmed that it was. However, upon arrival, we were told that our dog was not allowed on the bed, which was disappointing since it was the first time this happened. At dinner time, we called (there was no phone in the room) and ordered a few items, specifying that we would eat at the hotel restaurant within 20 minutes. When we arrived and gave our room number, no staff showed any interest in guiding us to a table. The problems began: We sat at the first table (which was reserved), but the staff told us to move. We moved to another nearby table (not reserved), but the staff repeated the same instruction. After sitting down for a couple of seconds at a third table, the staff said it was reserved for another booking My girlfriend asked why we had to move three times already. Then a kitchen staff member appeared and said, “We will deliver the food to the room.” We were confused and explained that we told the operator we would eat there. She arrogantly responded, “I didn’t know I was in the kitchen.” My girlfriend replied, “Isn’t that internal hotel communication?” The kitchen staff then walked to our table and rudely said, “OK, serve! What time is it?” She furiously moved two plates (out of four) and slammed them down, dropping a spoon then left. We wanted to complain, so we asked another staff member where to file a complaint. After explaining what happened, they investigated. They came back with an apology from the other staff member and a complimentary gesture. We believe the rude staff should have personally taken accountability for their behavior.

Other than that, the hotel was only half good. Calling itself a 4-star hotel seems excessive given...

Staying at Mirror Mirror in Rayong was an experience we won’t forget anytime soon. The standout feature? Their clever one-way mirror setup. From inside our beachfront room, we had uninterrupted views of the ocean, all while feeling completely tucked away and private — a really smart and stylish touch.

Falling asleep to the sound of waves became a nightly ritual, and during one evening thunderstorm, we got to watch lightning flicker across the sea — it felt surreal. The bed was unbelievably comfy, and the room itself was large and airy, with excellent air conditioning and a spacious bathroom with a powerful shower.

Dining at the on-site restaurant was a treat. The setting — right by the beach — was idyllic, and every dish we tried was both flavorful and artfully presented. One of our favorites was the seafood coconut curry served inside an actual coconut — a fun and tasty surprise!

The pool area was another highlight. It’s huge and beautifully designed, with plenty of comfortable loungers that made it way too easy to relax for hours (and sneak in a nap or two).

What really made the stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Every person we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

We had an unforgettable stay at Mirror Mirror in Rayong! The one-way mirror concept is both unique and brilliant — we had complete privacy while enjoying a full panoramic view of the ocean right from our beachfront room.||We fell asleep instantly each night listening to the waves crash on shore. There was a thunderstorm at night during our stay and we watched the lightning dance around, it was really magical. The bed was so comfortable that we did not want to get up in the morning ! Our room was very spacious, AC worked well, good size bathroom with a great shower. ||The food was another highlight — we had dinner at their restaurent overlooking the beach and the dishes were full of flavour and beautifully prepared, with some classic Thai dishes that really stood out. (We loved the seafood coconut curry inside a coconut :)! ).||The pool is absolutely massive and beautiful, it was the perfect place to lounge around and enjoy the sun. They have many sunbeds which are super comfortable. Easy to fall asleep and take a nap. ||The staff were always super helpful, nice and always smiling !|If we needed anything they were there to help. ||Mirror Mirror is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a stylish, serene beachfront escape.
