Sugar Marina Resort -LAGOON VILLAS- Naiyang Beach — Hotel in Sakhu

Thanks a lot for a great, the most comfortable stay to the hotel. I was looking for a quiet, peaceful place to meet my 30 year anniversary and the choice was right. The nicest girl Pin upgraded my room to one with a pool access during check-in when I said it’s my birthday holiday :) Thank you, Pin! The staff is so eager to help, so attentive, kind and super friendly. Their smiles melt your heart:) Also big thanks to Nic, Lego, Aom and all the rest of you who take care of my stay there. The food is great and a variety of dishes is offered for breakfast. What was personally important to me is that food is healthy and makes you feel good and uplifted. The hotel’s facilities are enough to maintain a quality time even if it’s raining outside. Personally I like a gym and pools to swim. Special appreciation for a daily transfer to a 3 different beaches nearby. You can download an app and find schedule there. Although I don’t have kids, but I’ve noticed how children-friendly hotel entertainment and staff are. If you have ones, I would highly recommend you this place for a stay. A great bonus if that 7 eleven is across the road so you can get any necessities anytime if you need. Yes, this place is for sure for a relax, quiet, mind-peaceful vacation, and not for partying for sure. Please make sure you know exactly what you’d like to get during your holiday time not to be disappointed afterwards. I love that this place is away from beaches and noisy, full of tourists places. That was exactly what I was looking for. If you want restaurants and beaches at hand you should choose another place. To get to places, I would recommend to use Bolt. At first I was only get cars (circa 180 baht per ride to get to the Nai Yang and Nai Tong beaches) but the last 2 days I took motorbikes (55 baht on average per ride) and it was a cool experience,...

We recently stayed at this hotel with our family, and while we had a few lovely moments, there are some areas that could definitely enhance the experience.First off, the kids' pool was a fantastic highlight! Our children enjoyed splashing around and making memories. It was a great feature that kept them entertained throughout our stay.However, we did encounter a few issues that we feel need addressing. We informed the staff about a few concerns, but unfortunately, we didn’t see any changes during our stay. It would have been great if they had acted on our feedback more promptly.The check-in process was surprisingly too simple for our liking. We checked into three different rooms on different dates, and none of us received a welcome drink. It’s always those little touches that make a difference, and we missed that warm greeting.Additionally, when we opened the fridge in one of our rooms, there was a noticeable durian smell that was quite off-putting. While we understand that durian is a popular fruit for many, it was not the best welcome!Breakfast started off strong with a variety of nice options that we enjoyed. Unfortunately, on our last day, the smell of fish was quite overwhelming and didn’t seem fresh. We hope this is a one-off issue because the dining experience could be delightful.Overall, we had a decent stay, but with a few improvements, this hotel could really excel. The resort was lovely, brand new and very pretty. It’s an incredible haven away from the chaos of Phuket and should be commended on how well they keep it a tranquil spot.

The staff were lovely and very kind and sweet however sometimes it felt like the focus was more on the incoming flight crews. Especially when I tried for a week beforehand to book an airport transfer and they just did not respond in time and then never got back to me after email and email. The same thing also happened during one of the beach pick ups. It’s not a huge deal but as a solo traveller I really relied on those pickups so it was disappointing.

When it comes to the room, I stayed in a superior room with Jacuzzi which was nice except they failed to show the giant electrical transformer infront of my room. I definitely felt like this really should have given me a bit of a cheaper rate since people staying in less expensive rooms get a better view away from this. It also meant that we had a private pool area but it was quite open to the empty lot next door and workers could see you.

It would be great if they had a few more pick up and drop off times, it would just enhance the experience.

Food was great, it would be awesome if they had a late night menu.

Overall it’s a great place to stay, it’s new so I’m sure some of the things I mentioned are just teething issues but I’d happily stay again just wouldn’t waste my time with the jacuzzi room. It costs more for a really...
