OYO 358 Rattana Residence Thalang — Hotel in Thep Krasatti

We stayed here for 2 nights before our flight to Bangkok. The hotel is quiet, modern, spacious and clean. We were very happy with the room, very comfy bed too. The only downside of this place is that it's just in the middle of nowhere. It's in distance to beaches ect, but a cab journey away, and you have to book through the hotel to do this as there's none in the area= Expensive. No restaurants nothing. Just a 7/11 and a tesco lotus (THANK GOD) as we would of starved!!! But honestly, just probably a good place for a business trip. ||Another point, this place is relatively new. Nobody knows where it is. We spent hours with a taxi driver who spoke little English trying to take us here. NO BODY KNOWS. Response to the owner. Thank you for replying. My main issue was the mix up at check in. I booked on the OYO website and from seeing the message once I'd sorted it out they had a problem at 6am that day. I arrived early at 12noon and hung around for two hours. Had my passport photographed,paid deposit. Nobody mentioned any of this till gone 2pm, 2 hours to sort it out they wait till check in. Also the security door was never locked and daily the stench of the reception was PUTRID. I understand your people need lunch but this is a workplace. Fish head soup is not normal to me. Also turning on the fans for staff but not customers is bad business The rest was fine,I will update as I feel a little unfair focusing on the check in. Get rid of OYO for sure.

This is my 3rd time in this hotel. Mostly I'm quite satisfied with the room I pay for. Location is good as it id closed to 2 convenient stores ( Lotus and 7-11 ) WIFI is good. However cleanliness is need to be| improved since there's still some soap and shampoo container left over from previous guest in the bathroom when I checked in.
