I will never eat at Golden Beach again. We arrived at 18:15 and asked to order. The waiter ignored us so we asked again. Another man came by to finally explain that they aren’t open for another 15 minutes but we can order drinks. ||We ordered goat cheese salad, which was more like leaves picked off of a tree (but the cheese was amazing for someone who hasn’t had real cheese in a year) and an Hawaiian pizza. The waitress came over after FORTY-FIVE MINUTES to tell us that they were out of ham, “Do you still want that pizza?” My dinner mate decided yes. Five minutes later, a waiter walked by with a giant plate of ham. ||For desert we ordered ice-cream and cappuccino. The menu said that cappuccino was 2,000fCFA. The receipt came back saying it was 3,000fCFA and even when we complained to the waitress, we still had to pay 3,000. Also, we were charged full price for the pizza even though it had no meat on it. When she informed us that (supposedly) there was no ham, we had requested another type of meat that we did not receive.||Not to mention they played the football game on a projector which attracted lots of loud children off the street. This isn’t an everyday occurrence but it happened.||Finally, if you choose to eat outside, because the hotel is located on the beach road, there is lots of noise and obnoxious trucks and cars that honk...

Read moreHi, I thought I would give some comments here, as I read some things here that bothered me. I had no choice but to take this hotel as it was part of a conference (all other hotels were full). I met the owner, he was quiet but didn't come across as too unfriendly. It is not a 'real' hotel with a large lobby and whatnot. It is a small place with rooms that reminded me more of my sons dorm room. That being the case it was clean and reasonable and just near the beach (can't swim there, but it is a nice view). Note that they do not give shampoo so you need to bring your own...It is true that the restaurant seems to have a problem with quick service. Something not quite right there...for another nice place to eat turn left out ofthe hotel, then turn another left at the hotel belle view sign. You will see the belle view restaurant just down the street. Not bad food and...
