First of all, this is not an Ibis Hotel anymore. You still can find signs of Ibis in the hotel (pool area) but Ibis is not running it anymore.||First I was disappointed of the state of the rooms. Since Ibis moved out many years ago, there has probably not been any investment in the hotel. Things are broken and it is not very clean. I don't know any other hotels in Lome, so I can't really rate it. Internationally it probably would not get any star, it's more like a motel.||But there are good thing about this hotel. The great view, if you have a room with sea view. I would recommend only this view. ||The really nice people here. I stayed for 4 days and after a while felt home here and the "motel" touch of the hotel didn't bother me anymore.||The pool is great, but also here you see broken down things / buildings and you realize that there has been no investment into this site for a long long time. On the weekend it can be crowded, because people from outside also pay to just use the pool as a public pool. I met people from Ghana who just came here to spend the afternoon.||Breakfast is sufficient and good. Wifi was most of the time working within the building, not at the pool. Security seems to be quite good here. This is not a resort place anymore, as it looks on the pictures. I have been here for business and spent an hour in the afternoon at the pool. For this it was a great place. The price of about 90,-$/day seemed a bit high, you might get better values at...

Read moreI feel bad to give you 2 stars, but I have to also be honest and fair. I am pretty sure other travelers make travel decisions based on facts. And please take this as positive criticism, it should help you improve your service quality. Here are the good and bad:
The Good 1- people are nice and hospitable (in general Togolese are extremely nice people) 2- the portrait artist at the entrance who is always sketching is very interesting to watch, and his work is marvelous. 3- the seating area around the pool is a great place to relax
The Bad (or what needs to improve) 1- When changing USD to CAD at the reception, they give you a rating (in my case 1usd to 540 CFA) but give you 100 CFA or 200 CFA short. Not a big deal, but not also a good customer service behavior. It's better to let the clients themselves decide what to tip. 2- Water dripping from the ceiling in my room. I notified them, but no one stopped by to look at it. Due to this the laminated floor is now sagging 3- Breakfast is ok, could be better. Is the scrambled egg from real egg? 4- Pool water looks yellow, May be it's clean. 5- poor WI-Fi (I can only speak at 3rd flour) 6- Would be great to at least have one English news TV channel. 7- There is no power outlet near the bed rest, there is only one and that is...
