From my initial phone call with the staff, I knew I was in for a fantastic experience at Diar Abou Habibi. Their professionalism, passion, and variety of activities were evident from the start. They went above and beyond, even helping me find a great place for pizza and booking a restaurant in the middle of the night, staying available well beyond their working hours. Their warm smiles and constant willingness to assist made our stay even more enjoyable.

The rooms were magical—clean, well-equipped, and featuring a mini-bar. The atmosphere was unique, offering a five-star-like experience with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and inviting living areas. Downstairs, a cozy hammock and a charming space for evening chats provided the perfect spot for friends and family to unwind. The location, nestled in the heart of the oasis near Chakwak and within easy reach of downtown and local attractions (like Shara Lounge, Shara Zoo, and the Medina), makes it an ideal base for exploring Tozeur.

The only minor drawback was the small size of the swimming pool, which we wished was larger, especially given our summer visit. Despite this, the peaceful nights and refreshing breeze from the oasis made for a restful stay.

Overall, I highly recommend Diar Abou Habibi and am eagerly looking forward...

Wonderful setting far from the city in a forested area. Transportation required to get there.||Very attractive chalet, roomy wooden chalets on stilts, with stairs to climb. Large deck with wooden tables and chairs. Chalets are spaced well apart for privacy, many trees all around.||Interior is spacious, clean, well equipped. Quaint interior with lots of wood. Numerous electrical outlets. ||Small swimming pool that no one seemed to use.||The restaurant had excellent food in a small attractive building next to the pool.||The breakfast was unique: A woman would deliver it to each chalet, climbing the stairs to place it on the deck's table. It had a huge variety and quantity of treats: Dates, yogurt, eggs, bread, orange juice, coffee, and more. To eat it all was a long process. I loved it.||A major downside was extremely loud "music" came from a neighboring property, lasting for several hours in the middle of the night. No one could sleep. Why didn't the managers call the police?||Wifi so weak it was useless, even...

If I could give this place more stars I would! I have been here one night and everything has been perfect. My room/cottage, number 10, is huge, clean, extremely well appointed, comfortable, and adorable. Plenty of hot water. A nicely equipped kitchenette, sitting area, and comfy bed. Then there is the pool, gorgeous reception area, and food! 10 stars!! The pool is very refreshing, in a quaint setting next to the magnificently furnished reception/dining area. And the dinner we had last night was only one of two in a week that I have enjoyed here in Tunisia. There was variety and flavor instead of the same old same old bland food. But then came breakfast... Delivered to our cottage in a huge basket on the head of a lady. And the quantity, variety, quality exceeded expectations! Check out my photos. I would highly recommend this place. It is a little off the beaten track, but if you have transportation or if your group is coming here it is lovely, set in a beautiful garden full of date palms.

Had an amazing time until other rude guests arrived, friendly staff, delicious Tunisian foods, and clean rooms. Great atmosphere to enjoy and roam. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was the lack of control the staff & manager had to do with their guests. There was a group of men that came after my group of 12 people. Our group was quiet and well-behaved while the other group was loud, like a wild circus of animals. This is not a club house or dance bar.... The music that they bring with them were loud at night and disturbing the peace. We (12 people) called and asked the front desk many times, and they won't do anything. We're disappointed at the hotel, staff and manager. It needs to be controlled better and to treat all guests equally. Please have people who want to party and play loud music outside the hotel area. Or best, keep them out!

An excellent site, beautiful surroundings. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who guided us and showed us around Diar Abou Habibi, I highly recommend this place for anyone in Tozeur as you won’t regret! Also it is so close to Chak Wak Museum and you can still enjoy your stay whilst also visiting other places. Fun fact: Diar Abou Habibi was named after a bird “Bou Habibi” like the locals call this cute creature that’s a resident breeder of dry North African countries. The “Emberiza Sahari” aka “Bou Habibi” bird is traditionally regarded as sacred in Tozeur and is a symbol of the city itself.
