I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nomads Hostel in Tunis, and I must say it was the best hostel experience I've ever had (and I have about 50 countries on my counter). From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. While I was initially a bit apprehensive as I was the only guest at the time, I soon discovered that I was lucky to be one of the first guests at their new location.
The new building is incredibly spacious and impressive. It exceeded all my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The hostel provided comfy beds, impeccable showers and toilets, a delightful common area, a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views, and even a magical garden filled with orange and mandarin trees where I could pick and enjoy the fruits directly from the trees. It was truly a wow-worthy experience!
However, what sets this hostel apart is the extraordinary atmosphere. The owner, being a traveler himself, understands the needs and desires of fellow travelers. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. During my stay, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture as it happened to be during Ramadan. I felt like a part of their family as we shared the traditional Iftar dinner together every evening after sunset.
I am immensely grateful for the kindness and the beautiful memories made during my time at Nomads Hostel in Tunis. Special thanks to Bessa, Shayma, Ashraf, Aziz, Ella, and Wissem for their incredible hospitality and making my stay unforgettable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Nomads Hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Tunis. If you find yourself torn between booking a hotel or choosing this hostel, let me assure you that you won't regret choosing Nomads Hostel. The exceptional service, welcoming atmosphere, and the chance to experience the local culture firsthand make it an unforgettable stay.

Read moreI stayed here for a week before Christmas and I must say that it was a great experience. I stayed in the private room - it was really spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was direct access to the big shared terrace from the room - it was just a pity that there was no furniture on the terrace. Thanks to the big windows, the room was always bright, but there are also external blinds in case you want to sleep in in the morning :) I was pleasently surprised by the wi-fi quality. I needed to do some remote work during my stay and the wi-fi never let me down. I could even attend online meetings with no problems. The staff was very welcoming, always happy to answer any questions and they made me feel like at home. I liked that they sometimes organize events, even a Christmas party - I had such a busy program, that I didn't manage to attend the events, but it was nice to see that they do this for the guests. The neighbourhood is very calm, but there are several cafés and small grocery shops just 3 minutes on foot down the road, and fast foods 3 minutes up the road. The nearest metro station is also just about 5 minutes away. The hostel is basically on the edge of the Medina, so no problem getting there either. And getting to the downtown takes about 20 minutes on foot. Bolt to the downtown...
Read moreI stayed here in December of last year and I should have wrote a review way earlier. The place is increadible modern, clean and with all the amnities you need ( I would compare it to the best european hostels ) + compared to other places available in Tunisia is really worth it. The staff is incredibly friendly and from the first day I was invited to try some local sweets and sing karaoke all togheter. Also during my stay I got extreamly sick due to an health issue in the middle of the night that didn’t have anything to do with the place/country ( kidney problem ) and the stuff took an increadible care of me, calling a doctor, helping me out with everything, bringing me to the hospital and around to collect the medicines I needed and gave me a ride to the airport. Trust me, this is the place you want to stay in Tunisia and these are the people you want to have around because you always hope nothing bad is going to happen but if it does, you know that you are...
