İCARUS — Hotel in Çeşme

Apart from the location and the young hardworking brothers who work with good intentions, everything is a disappointment. We moved from the most expensive 5* hotel in Izmir to this one, which is even more expensive and is in the basement. The drain smell is unbearable. They tried to repair the drain cover and left it like that. The room furniture is poorly maintained and broken, there are no glasses in the room and no water. There is no cleaning at all. I asked once in 3 days and they came in the evening and said sorry they didn't arrive. At breakfast they ask for tea or coffee, if you ask for coffee they bring machine coffee in water glasses and at check out it's 250 TL per piece. Also, packaged fruit juice is another 150 TL extra by glass. I write travel blogs and as someone who travels all over the world, I can say I have never seen such a poorly run facility. The young staff are running around with an amateur spirit and working hard, but they have left the work of 3 people to one person. Everyone is writing about the same problems. Why is it still 250 TL for machine coffee at breakfast and it's not fixed is incomprehensible. We are paying 7 thousand TL per night for the most economical room in the basement. Please, a little service, a little seriousness, a little business. I forgot my slippers, they were left at the reception, I went from Izmir to get them. Whatever the receptionist said, it is fine. They are in the drawer at the back. Instead of giving them back, I will take your number and call them. They are such amateurs. I wish we could write positive things about our own facilities, but if we don't write, it is obvious they will not...

This is a hotel with a nice design and concept, with most rooms facing the swimming pool. It's rather unique in the centre of Alaçatı. The pool was cold and large enough for swimming. The hotel, rooms and gardens were very clean and maintained. Staff were good. Our economic room was good value and at the rear of the property, so we didn't hear the music from around the pool area (which continues quite late). Shower water pressure is good (but you need to press the wall button!) Unfortunately the pool bar didn't have most cocktails we wanted to try and the drinks provided were not good for the price (very small gin and mojito without the crushed ice!) Hayal Kırıklığı, Güvensizlik ve Ciddi Güvenlik Açığı!

Otelde 2 gece konakladık ve baştan sona kötü bir deneyim yaşadık.

Girişte resepsiyon personeli internet fiyatlarından %100 daha pahalı bir fiyat sundu. Aile odası için 2 gece reception 28.000 TL dedi , biz indirim istedik Yetkili birisi ile görüşebilir miyiz dedik , Patron geldi ve biz 28.000TL söylenen odayı 30.000TL ödedik, arkadaşlarımıza internette 8600TL olan odayı ise 10.000TL ye sattılar. Fakat konuşurken Jakuzili oda vericez demişlerdi iş sonra normal odaya döndü. oysa internette 13.000 TL’ydi , 2 kişilik oda ise 8600TL. 3 kişilik oda için Ek yatak bahanesiyle fiyat yükseltildi. Kredi kartı çekildiği için çıkamadık.

İlk gün öğleden sonra havuza girdik. Havuz sonrası hem kızımın hem de oğlumun gözleri enfeksiyon kaptı. Sağlık ocağında doktor havuz kaynaklı olduğunu söyledi ve ilaç verdi. Bu durum hijyenin sorgulanmasına neden oldu.

Daha kötüsü, ikinci akşam çocuklardan biri (8 yaşında erkek çocuğum) internet çekmediği için otelin açık alanına çıktı ve dönüşte barın yanındaki üzeri açık bırakılmış, uyarı levhası olmayan havuz denge tankına düştü. Gecenin karanlığında ablası tarafından güçlükle kurtarıldı. Bu olayda yaşanabilecek ciddi bir travmayı ucuz atlattık. Otelde herhangi bir sorumlu da duruma ilgisizdi.

Gece 02:00’de döndüğümüzde barın hâlâ açık olduğunu gördük. Sabah 06:30’da bardan içecek almak isterken barmenin alkollü olması nedeniyle tatsız bir tartışma yaşadık. Bu nasıl bir işletme anlayışıdır?

Son gün ise kahvaltıda tabiri caizse “rezalet” bir sunumla karşılaştık. Tüm deneyimimiz, verdiğimiz paranın tam anlamıyla çöpe gitmesine neden oldu.

Kısacası: Hijyen eksikliği, çocuklar için tehlikeli açık alanlar, aşırı fiyatlandırma, personel ilgisizliği ve sorumsuzluğu nedeniyle kesinlikle önermiyoruz. Turizm Bakanlığı’na da resmi şikayetimizi yapıyoruz. Çocuklarımızın başına gelebilecek ciddi bir kazayı şansa atacak kadar kötü bir işletme ile karşı...
