Amavi — Restaurant in Çeşme

We visited this restaurant specifically for their seafood tasting menu. Overall the ambiance and service were good. The staff member who attended to us explained the dishes very well.

However I cannot say the same for the food.

Let me start with the good dishes. The sea bass, cuttlefish, and dessert were nice. Unfortunately the rest were below average. Since it was a tasting menu the portions were smaller than usual and maybe because of this there was a serious problem with salt and lemon. Until the sea bass arrived, we got tired of eating sour things. The waiter brought focaccia for the sauces, but it was overly salted too. We drank a lot of water to cope with it. Another point I would like to mention is that the service was very slow. Despite it being a weekday and not busy, our food arrived very late.

Overall the sea bass can be tried for a dinner, but I definitely do not recommend the tasting menu. I usually don't evaluate such places based on price-performance, but for the experience we had, it was definitely not...

Dining at Amavi was a standout experience in Alaçati. This fine dining restaurant specializes in fish cuisine, and every dish we tried was exceptional—beautifully plated, wildly creative, and bursting with flavor. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in pushing culinary boundaries while honoring the freshness of the ingredients.

Service was top-tier: attentive without being intrusive, with staff who genuinely care about your experience. The space itself is generous and thoughtfully arranged, with well-spaced tables.

One small drawback: the music was a bit too loud for our taste, which slightly clashed with the otherwise elegant ambiance. Still, it didn’t overshadow the quality of the meal.

Pricing is aligned with international fine dining standards—more in line with what you'd expect in New York or Milan than typical Turkish coastal fare. But for the level of creativity, service, and atmosphere, it felt justified.

A high-end dining experience with prices to match. The concept is built around multiple courses, so the main dishes are intentionally on the smaller side – something that might put some people off if they’re expecting large portions for the price. That said, the quality and flavour of each dish were outstanding, easily one of the best meals we had during our trip.

Service was excellent overall – the waiters were attentive and kind – though one waitress did try to clear our plates before we’d finished a couple of times, which was a little awkward.
