Marge Hotels — Hotel in Çeşme

Very unique decor and great location. We had a vintaj room, super colorful. Hotel merged vintaj ||and lounge styles very nicely. Pool is small but has soft couches with pillows to sit in the sun. They use quality amenities of Molton Brown. Hotel is right across the street from the sea, public dolmush runs every 15-20 min, will stop right in front of the hotel and get you to Cesme or Alacati within 10 min. Very friendly managers||Bathroom looks very nice but its completely useless. No hangers, no place to put your razon or shampoo, no way to hang the shower, you have to hold it in your hand all the time while water is pouring al over the place as the bathtub isnt attached to the wall and curtain isnt folding inside the bathtub...also once you close the curtain it becomes superdark, there is no lamp above the bathtub.||Walls are paperthin, wardrobe is very small for 2 people. Walls and floor were shaking so much anytime anyone would walk that i had to put folded paper under the safe box door to stop it from shaking and creating metal noise.||Didnt like the waitress at the breakfast. She was very unfriendly and couldnt care less. To the point that we'd say good morning at breakfast and she wouldnt reply. It was impossible to get her attention so i went all the way to her and asked for a coffee but she wouldnt put her phone away until she was done with it and only then...

Tarik, the owner of the hotel, and the team, Kahn and Nekih, did their best to make us feel comfortable. Everyday when we came back from the beach, they offered either tea or coffee "on the house" and asked if we needed something else. When we needed to go somewhere they helped us call the taxi. Every time Tarik saw us, he stood up and greeted us.

When my wife came Tarik gave me a ride to the airport to meet her. When we arrived at the hotel the room was surprisingly decorated. He also gave us a ride to the airport on the return flight.

Cleaning was done everyday. Clean towels in the room and for the beach were provided everyday. Every single request was fulfilled. The team truly cared about us, we felt like premium customers in 5-star hotels.

The location is perfect, Ilica beach is right across the street. The internal yard is cozy.

The hotel is in general fine, it's close to the beach and the interior/exterior decorations are nice. HOWEVER, the rooms in my opinion were not clean and the room cleaning service was not great. Dust all along the bed frame, toilets had a very strong smell, and behind the bath tub there was a lot of dirt and old empty shampoo bottles. Also be aware that, if you have a room near the road, there is pretty much no sound insulation. While the service was generally good, leaving the hotel was a dissapointment. The receptionist gave us a bill with a drink we did not order and consistently claimed that the system was always right, despite 1) another server confirming we never ordered that drink and 2) us having to also remind him to add drinks we ordered that were not even on the tab which he had to add after. Not the greatest attempt at hospitality...
