Stayed 3 nights in early September, after 10 days of travel through central Turkey, by which time the finances were in pretty dire straits. To be honest, the main attraction was the combination of low price with the expectation comfortable and clean, albeit basic, rooms as posted by several reviewers on the booking website. These expectations were met and there were the added bonuses of free wifi that actually worked well and a breakfast that was varied and generous, even by the high standards of Turkish hospitality. ||||The hotel is nicely located on a side street but only 5 minutes walk from both the main shopping street and the waterfront. If you drive there, you can park in a lay-by about 70 metres away. The friendly owners live on site and are usually available to help out, answer queries etc. They took in a load of washing from me and seemed surprised when I asked them how much it cost (they did eventually accept a tip and promptly handed it over to an employee who had done the actual work). ||||The minor negatives are that the mattress was a bit lumpy and that the ground floor rooms are too close to the street which exposes them to the noise of passing mopeds and conversing pedestrians. But there is not too much of this, especially late in the evening as it is a side...
Read moreI'll start with the good points which were that the host we met was very a friendly and welcoming person. The location also is very good being very close to Çeşme centre.
However, the price was very high (more than 800 lira per night for just 2 of us) considering our room looked a bit neglected, and in need of some renovation/improvement, and breakfast wasn't included, which we thought it should have been given that we've stayed in 5 other hotels this summer where the rooms were of better quality, lower price and included breakfast.
In terms of the room itself, there weren't many plug sockets (and in impractical places like directly above the pillow or behind the TV), the mattresses were less comfortable than the other hotels we stayed at this summer (also we thought we booked a double room and were given a twin room, so had to push the beds together) and there was dirt and hair under and around the bed. The noise outside was very loud, when someone walked past or a motorbike drove past, it sounded like they were in the room.
Overall: Hosts 5/5 Location 4/5 Cleanliness 3/5 Room 2/5 Value...
Read moreWe stayed here in summer. The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel give off some cosy and homey feeling. The room was clean and cute. There was a slight problem with our room for booking but they were kind enough to provide us with better room than what we've booked. The breakfast was good and we also had dinner at the hotel and it was delicious. Although it was hard to find but once you know the area it is fine. Wifi connectivity was also fine. Parking is available but it quite far from the hotel but it was fine since we didn't have much luggage. It is near the town so we didn't have to drive much. Overall this hotel is lovely and we really enjoyed...
