I have stayed at this hotel several times and still a customer. The first time I stayed at this hotel, I came in it was night time. Once they showed me the room, I was about to go to another hotel. The furniture is a bit old. The room a bit small. It is on a "sokak" not the main street. However I decided to stay and I am glad I did.||Once you get over the old furniture, this hotel is a gem and here is why:||- you are in downtown umraniye, with the city hussle and bustle around you. ||- You are here with the locals, not in a touristic setup. I like to stay among the locals. You get honest prices, better feel of the true turkish people who are so hospitable, cordial, and honest, especially if you stay away from touristic areas. ||- The hotel being on a sokak (back alley), makes it uniquely quiet for a good night sleep, while in the middle of the umraniye shopping district. ||- As it is the case with most Istanbul, the location is very safe whether during the day or at night.||- The staff speaks English and they are very friendly honest and kind people.||- The bakery just outside the hotel sells yummy bureks. I used to skip hotel breakfast and eat at the bakery next door.||- The hotel is across the street from downtown Masjid (Muslim prayer house). You can hear the Adhan and you can pray in the neat clean Masjid next door. ||-I travel alone on business, but I made lots of chit-chat level relationships with the grocer next door, the baker, the hotel staff etc. I feel at home when I come here.||I am used to staying in five star luxury hotels in Istanbul and other places, but I do not have as much fun and enjoy the rich experience as I do when...

Read moreGood afternoon, for 12 days we stayed at this hotel. The reason we decided to stay at this hotel was its good location and the fact that the hotel has a swimming pool and sauna. But we were actually quite disappointed as the pool and sauna are a lie, nothing works and you are not allowed to enter and use any of it. on the other hand the cleaning is terrible, used toothpicks on the floor left by the previous customer and traces of waste in the toilet were found as soon as we arrived. on top of that the room is very hot and the air conditioning barely works. The only thing I liked was breakfast. anyway I do not recommend this hotel and we will not return...
