The best hotel experience so far. The apartment was so spacious, beautiful and clean. Very nicely decorated. Check in was very smooth. Erdem (I hope I spelt your name correctly) check us in and made us feel so welcomed. Complimentary lemonade given to us upon arrival. It was so delicious. I booked a 2bedroom and instead was given a 3 bed which allowed more room for my family to spread out. This was such a great bonus. The hotel staff were amazing. Breakfast was so delicious with many options and many vegetarian options aswell. The young chef that made our eggs at the egg station was very friendly and made some great eggs 👌🏽Complimentary water bottles were left in the kitchen every morning by the housekeeping team. Tea and coffee available in our personal kitchen and restocked daily by housekeeping. I was so happy to learn that our room had a washing machine that had a tumble dryer function. You can buy detergent and fabric softener from the hotel or buy your own from the local supermarket. Although the one you purchase from the hotel leaves your clothes smelling very nice. There’s an iron and iron board and a really powerful hairdryer available. Shower pressure was great. Spacious built in wardrobes and coat and shoe closet in the apartment entrances. The hotel offered a free shuttle service every day to several tourist locations which was really helpful and a money saver however upon return it was always difficult finding the driver so we ended up paying for a taxi in the rush hour traffic. If the meet-up points for the return journey could be explained better, it would save a lot of stress. However this did not affect our overall experience. |One point that wasn’t mentioned upon booking via loveholiday is that a deposit is required when you check in. Please be aware of this so you are prepared when checking in. Luckily I had some cash available that I withdraw at my London airport before travelling, otherwise I’m not sure how the story would have ended. ||Apart from this, I would still highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely return given the opportunity. The staff were always so willing to help with anything and everything. Even the security team at the gate were so welcoming with warm greetings every time we would pop in and out. There’s a playground for the children. They children would go out and play after most breakfasts. complimentary water bottles were provided by housekeeping every morning. Housekeeping was very respectful of our personal belongings, always providing fresh towels and a great service. Guest relations team always on hand to help, Yesile was fantastic in helping me with a situation. when I first approached her, she made me feel very validated in my concerns and got straight to work. You could see the joy and satisfaction she would have once she knew that her guest were happy. She deserves a pay rise!!! Ebrahim from the Swan spa was so friendly and helpful. Great speaking with him. The pool and gym are open from 7am-11pm which was fantastic. Most hotels close the pools at sunset. This was great because we would be out all day and the kids would have a swim after dinner in the evening most nights. Check out is at 12pm but as our flight was a night flight and we wouldn’t be collected for the airport until 19.30, the reception team were very accommodating and allowed us to leave our luggage with them so we could spend the day at the mall while we waited for our transfer. ||I love exploring and getting to know new places so was happy to learn that there was a metro station just walking distance which we would use to get home after a day out. Public transport in Istanbul is really good. The kids enjoyed using the trains as at home we are always driving so it was a nice change. I usually hire a car when I visit other cities in Turkey but I am glad I didn’t this time because the rush hour traffics in Istanbul is so crazy. Positives: The staff of the hotel are friendly, helpful and can communicate easily and professionally with the guests. Check in and out are easy process The hotel swimming pool and other facilities available are clean and well maintained Security services are excellent My review based on the 4 bedroom apartment in a lower floor (unfortunately) which I stayed in: a. Master room size is acceptable b. Other 3 bedrooms are considered (European style which is small in size) c. 3 bathrooms (two with shower rooms and one without) d. Kitchen supplies are available upon request The daily cleaning services are excellent specially that the cleaning staff can communicate in an English language. Their manager shows a great effort as well to make sure the apartment is being served well.
The negatives (for me): The first and main negative which will make me think 100 times before reserving an apartment again in the hotel is the neighboring building to the hotel in which one of the residents have two dogs that keep barking day and night. If you a light sleep person or you can’t tolerate the noise definitely the apartments at least facing the side of the neighboring building are not for you. We were not able to sleep well because of that though complained to the hotel staff couples of times about it and they did their best but nothing changed till the last day we left the hotel.
The apartment walls are not sound proof. You are able to hear the talk, walk, the opening and closing of doors as well the sounds from the bathrooms while you are in your room which is disturbing specially if you are again a light sleep person and got disturbed easily.
The location of the hotel is not close to most of the malls and tourism areas in Istanbul.
The air conditioning in the apartment supposed to be controlled by remotes. Out of 5 or 6 remotes available in the apartment only one is working!!!!!! and we complain about it couple of times but the issue was not solved and we hade to share one remote for the whole apartment!
The carpets in the apartment needs to be washed and cleaned or changed.
No matter how much we clean the surfaces of the furniture (tables-chairs-benches) even in the bathroom they keep on getting covered with small particles which I think they come out from the air conditioners.
Never ever take an apartment in lower floor always request to be in higher floors
Small flying insects have been seen many times during our stay that come out from the bathrooms.
You would be lucky if the guests in the apartment above you are considerate and nice not to run and jump during night because you can hear the movements of the guests above your apartment.
I didn’t try their restaurant because I have seen their employees during their break time playing with their bare hands with street cats. I know they will probably wash their hands but I have big issue with hygiene. Since they are at work and their work is related to serving food I believe touching animals and playing with them is not hygienic at all specially that the fur or hair of these animals may stick to their work attire.

I hope this review finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding my recent stay at [Mövenpick living Istanbul] from [8/09/2024] to [22/09/2024], in room [412].
While I have always held your esteemed establishment in high regard, I regret to inform you that several issues during my stay fell short of the high standards I have come to expect from a five-star hotel. The specific concerns I would like to bring to your attention are:
We have arrived on 8 of September at early morning, we requested the reception responsible to do early check-in considering my parents over 60 years old and they have to get a rest in any room it doesn’t matter with me. The reception doesn’t accept that and he said the hotel if full I can’t give you any room, after 5 minutes he said I have one room for 200 USD, he wants to charge us 200 USD for only 6 hours, and I said to him just give the room for rest only until our room is ready, he rejected my request, unfortunately the guy was so rude and disrespectful and hiring such as employee in 5 stars hotel will impact the quality. After all of this I paid the 200 usd, and finally we received the room at 5:30PM without apologizing that was unexpected and was uneducated.
2- one of room was to hot and I talked to the reception more than 10 times no one helped us.
3- when we ask for anything we wait for hours to get it.
4- during the checkout the reception guy who do our check-in, he did not ask for how was our stay.
There are many things to cover, but I’m not writing a story here.
I really felt unwelcome during my stay.
