One star for the beautiful grounds. That’s it! Not a luxury 5 star hotel they claim to be! I travel A LOT around the world and always stay at the best hotels. This is not it! BELIEVE ME! Save your vacation and money. There are plenty of beautiful very nice hotels in Bodrum. This hotel ruined our vacation and the whole overview of a beautiful destination…. Just to give you an idea- the hotel was booked for 8 nights and we left 2 days later, of course not even asking for a refund or anything. Just because I couldn’t stand staying there anymore… service is horrible, rooms are very bad, restaurants with the WORST service you could possibly find (especially in Türkiye) and so overpriced! This is my first ever such a negative review of ANY hotel. Let’s start with breakfast. The food is very mediocre at best. Service is just awful. All these waiters just walking around absolutely clueless. And always bring the wrong order or completely forget about the order. There wasn’t a breakfast that we got our food right! And no one ever smile. Which I was trying to be nice and very polite each and every time, but the waitresses couldn’t even smile back. My room was big and spacious. But there was no dressers, and very little furniture to put the clothes into. The bed was very uncomfortable. Seems like they put the cheapest mattress they could find. Very little towels and waters in the room. I had to text concierge every day to add more towels and ask the room service to put more waters in. My son got bitten by mosquitoes every night!!! And there are always flys get inside the room. There is NO shower holder for a hand held shower. And the water barely runs….also we stayed at the “loft” room and it still had a metal key (like an old school key!!!). I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this in the hotels. And only one key to the room. So you can’t lock your room if you are not together with your family or you can’t get in. They wouldn’t provide a second key. Beach is very small. Like really tiny stretch of sand. My son was using their mask to swim and it was 5 euro for that. For an hour of using a mask on the beach. And only cash. So you have to carry cash with you to the beach and everywhere! And the last drop was the restaurants. The service is just awful! I mean it was sooo bad I don’t even know where to start. In any of the restaurants there are so many employees, but they are so poorly trained and always stressed and never friendly! They always forget to bring parts of every order in each and every restaurant. And the last drop was when my mom and my son went to the beach restaurant Folie. I wasn’t with them and the room is on my name but my family is of course are the equal guests of the hotel). The hostess wouldn’t sit them down even though restaurant was almost empty. They had to wait at the entrance for 20 mins. And she made them write my phone number, my name etc….. I still don’t know what was the reason for that… and while they were waited to be seated she was asking them to may be have a lunch at the beach instead of the restaurant… why?! May be they were not all dressed up. But this is a beach restaurant, and my mom had a nice cover up. And we are GUESTS OF THE HOTEL… she was very rude. I have never seen anything like this anywhere.. We were booked for 8 nights, for more than 2000 euro a night. And we left this hotel after 2 days and I had to change all the flights just to not stay there any longer…. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. PLEASE SAVE YOUR VACATION! And especially it’s not a kids friendly hotel, my son is 9yo but it wasn’t good...
Read moreThe property is lovely with good location - however, with the high price paid I definitely expected way more. Few disappointing things are :
Our room : We booked the Family Room, Garden View (Deluxe) - we were assigned a room in the ground floor - the room was so dark with barely any sun light - we requested to change the room or even pay for an upgrade but our request was not accommodated. There's only one lift in the whole reception - so the wait time for the elevator is ridiculous The house Keeping is not standard (Number of towels, amenities, attention to details in cleaning the room, night service) vary dramatically everyday. I had a cup of tea on my night stand for 2 days ! The most disappointing experience was the concierge/butler service who literally rubbed us - we got assigned 2 staff who we communicated with during our stay by whatsapp to assist with bookings, recommendations, etc. - I asked where can we buy sun-creams from and they offered to help and send someone to buy them for me - sent me photos of available options and I picked 3 Nivea creams - they said each will cost 650 Turkish Lira, not knowing prices in Turkey, I said ok - In the same evening, we went for a walk and was surprised to see that each cream was sold for around 100 TL ! I expressed my frustration to the hotel and said the concierge service should be the one helping guests and explaining how things work in the country not rubbing us. However, they did nothing about it and everyone was blaming someone else for overcharging us with ridiculously expensive Nivea We also requested a late checkout and the guy supposedly supporting us said it's impossible and showed no willingness to help, however, when I made the request personally at the reception, they gave us till 1pm which was helpful we requested their help in a boat trip, they arranged one and offered a price of 1770 euros - we though this is very expensive specially after asking some of our Turkish friends(avg. price is 800 euro) Our concierge said the price is not negotiable and he can't provide a better price. The next day, when we said we will not do it, and found one for 800 - he said he can arrange it for 870 euros. No Turkish food restaurants in the hotel was also surprising, only 2 dinner options (asian and Italian)
So, overall, not the level of service, gestures, or honesty you'd expect from a VIP hotel for the price we paid. Would definitely stay in a different...

In mid-September, my mother and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the METT Hotel & Resort for a much-needed getaway, and I cannot begin to express just how wonderful the experience was.
From the moment we approached the hotel, with its breathtaking views of the coastline, it was clear that we were in for something special. Our shared shuttle was filled with audible gasps of admiration—even from passengers staying elsewhere.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the attentive staff, complete with welcome drinks, setting the tone for what would be an impeccable stay. Throughout our visit, we were exceptionally well looked after by our incredible host ambassadors, Ceren and Nur. Available 24/7 via WhatsApp, they were a constant source of support—whether it was arranging services or offering insights into Turkish culture and local activities around Bodrum. Their warmth and professionalism were truly second to none.
A particularly memorable moment was when I injured my foot while swimming in the sea. Within minutes of reaching out to Ceren and Nur, a buggy promptly arrived to whisk me back to the hotel, where a nurse was already waiting. Their care didn’t stop there—they even left a thoughtful get-well-soon gift in my room. It was a level of service that went above and beyond, making us feel incredibly valued.
The room itself was a dream—spotlessly clean, flooded with natural light, and decorated with modern elegance. The furniture was of the highest quality, and the option to choose your own type of pillow was such a thoughtful touch. Sebahat, who serviced our room daily, ensured that every detail was perfect. Waking up to the spectacular sea view each morning was something I’ll never forget—it’s a view you’ll never tire of, and I highly recommend booking this room type.
As for the dining experience, the food was nothing short of delicious, and the waiting staff were genuinely interested in getting to know us, adding a personal touch to each meal. There were also countless spaces throughout the resort to unwind and relax. It’s worth noting that a service charge is included on all bills (except breakfast) and is separate from tipping, which is good to keep in mind.
For both my mother and me, this was a flawless 10/10 stay, and we are already looking forward to returning. Thank you, METT Hotel & Resort, for looking after us so wonderfully—we couldn’t have...
