(1 star)|PERRE LA MER HOTEL RESORT & SPA|Stay Dates: May 14–22, 2025||Unfortunately, our experience at this property fell far below the expectations associated with a 5-star resort. What was presented as a premium-class stay turned out to be a serious disappointment marked by multiple service failures and misleading conditions.| 1. Misrepresentation of services (Wi-Fi). The booking stated full Wi-Fi coverage throughout the hotel. In reality, internet access was limited to the reception area and occasionally the rooms. No signal was available at the pool, restaurant, or beach — a clear breach of promised amenities and grounds for a consumer complaint.| 2. Unacceptable sanitation practices. Rooms and hallways were cleaned using highly aggressive chemical agents, without any neutral cleaning solution or water. This resulted in allergic reactions among our group, including skin irritation, respiratory discomfort, and watery eyes. Such conditions are especially dangerous for children and individuals with sensitivities.| 3. Pressure to pay for basic comfort. Upon check-in, we were explicitly informed that a livable room would only be available for an additional fee. The standard room provided without payment was furnished with outdated, damaged furniture and malfunctioning fixtures. This can be classified as discriminatory pricing and unethical upselling.| 4. Inadequate check-out procedures. Although our airport transfer was scheduled for 10 PM, we were forced to vacate our room at 12 PM with no access to basic facilities like a shower, luggage room, or even a shaded waiting area. Such treatment of guests awaiting transport violates basic hospitality standards and common international practices.| 5. Severely outdated infrastructure. The condition of the furniture and fixtures in the room was unacceptable: torn upholstery, chipped surfaces, broken outlets, and poorly maintained bathrooms. These conditions fall short even for a 3-star property, let alone a 5-star resort.| 6. Constant disturbance due to noise. Loud music played daily until 1 AM or later, including during daytime hours. The lack of quiet time made both nighttime sleep and daytime rest impossible — creating a completely unrelaxing environment for families and senior travelers.||Conclusion: This hotel fails to meet the minimum requirements of a 5-star establishment, violates advertised terms, and neglects basic standards of guest safety, comfort, and hospitality. We strongly advise prospective guests to reconsider choosing this property. We sincerely hope hotel management will take responsibility and align their practices with international service standards.||P.S The photo shows that some parts of the carpet in the corridor are literally bald, presumably from the chemistry of which the...
Read moreWe were so excited about our holiday there but we were deeply disappointed on many things. Our room was quite dirty and it seemed they had changed only the bedclothes before our arrival. Floor was very filthy and needed a vacuum. Room is old and dated and lacks many necessities. Internet was working so bad the more far away you were from lobby. We had room at 3rd flood and it was quite often that there was no connection.
Food was average and we found red meat only on one day during a week. There seemed to be too much people and too little tables, cutlery, plates, cups. Most of the time we used cardboard mugs and plastic cutlery because there wasn't anything else. Employees were even too quick to clean up your table if you went to get something and left table unattended. Day meal at the beach was everyday same and at the end of our holiday we were already so bored to eat same food everyday.
Music is played so loud everywhere. We went to mini disco first evening with our kids and were shocked by the volume they played the music. We asked if they could put it down put it had no effect. Also in the pool area music is so loud especially during any entertainment. No chance you could enjoy your time at the pool area. Also the music played at the disco in midnight was terrible and the bass was so intense that it felt like we were sleeping in a nightclub.
It was really difficult to get a sunbed every day and all of them were already reserved with towels when we get there by afternoon. We saw there were many sunbeds with towels and nobody used them all day, what a waste. Sometimes we just took towels off and take sunbeds for us and nobody came after for them. Personnel is not really monitoring this behavior even though there are notifications saying it's prohibited to reserve sunbeds. Sunbeds are also very old, dirty and many of them broken.
One of the biggest minuses was pools because the water is extremely cold! I didn't enjoy at all swimming there and our kids were just freezing there. Also the big pool was oddly deep and it was almost all the time empty of people. Music was loudest next to children's pool so no change we could be there without becoming deaf.
Beach was quite nice but it was painful to walk there without any shoes. The beach consists of rocks and it's really difficult to go to ocean and get off from there.
Only thing we had positive memories of is personnel and we had many warm encounters with multiple people. Especially animation team girls, we wish you all the best. Employees were friendly and helpful and very warm towards our children.
I definitely think it's not a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately we were not pleased at all and don't recommend this...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel with our family last week and really enjoyed our vacation. Sea: The sea was incredibly clean, with a sandy-pebble beach. It was a bit more comfortable to enter the water in water shoes, but it wasn’t critical without them. The water was very warm. The beach was clean, though you needed to get up early to grab a good spot on a lounger under an umbrella. Hotel: The hotel itself is large, with a nice, clean pool, tasty drinks at the bar, and friendly staff. We were quickly upgraded to a bigger room for an extra $40. Some parts of the interior were a bit outdated, and a few issues came up in the room (the air conditioning didn’t work well, housekeeping didn’t clean even when we hung the “please clean” sign, and the Wi-Fi only worked at the reception, so it’s best to have good mobile internet). The food was fairly repetitive but overall tasty, with lots of fresh fruit, delicious desserts, tasty fish for dinner, and snacks available by the pool. The hotel grounds are also beautiful, with plenty of cats and stunning mountain-and-sea views. You can truly have a great vacation here. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but the experience was excellent. The only downside is the large number of russian guests and the fact that the Turkish staff were very welcoming to them. Overall, I...
