Although the hotel has 5 stars, it has many shortages. Me and my husband went there for honeymoon, we were there at 10 am. but we could get into our room. But special treats werent ready yet. We thought that they'd bring those at 2 pm. cuz of check-in hours. I called the reception, she said I'll ask and call you back. But she didnt. Actually nobody called. I called again at 4 pm and they brought. Next day, we joined a tour. We were starving and went to a restaurant. But the worker in restaurant said not this branch of restaurant but other and we went back for 20 mins. The worker said same and we went back 20 mins. When we were back to hotel I called reception to reserve b&b.A Russian woman picked up phone, her Turkish wasnt okay so we spoke English and I reserved. Next day we had nothing. I called reception and they said there is no b&b record maybe she doesnt know English so she couldnt understand you well. I said we spoke English but she didnt respond. Next day, we had bf in our room. Another problem was waiter who was working near pool. I asked him what he has he said everything and I asked menu he said no and I counted some drinks then I could order. Besides, there is open buffet, but the taste was unpleasant. I dont know reason maybe cooking style or products. Final problem was a hair in baklava(dessert). It was not because of open buffet. All these problems were cuz of miscommunication
Telafi etmelerini beklerdim. Hiçbir zaman görüntüye...
Read moreWe recently spent two weeks at this hotel and had a lovely holiday. From start to finish, we felt comfortable, well taken care of, and entertained, with plenty to do both in and around the hotel.||Arrival and First Impressions|We arrived around midnight, and despite the late hour, check-in was quick and easy. After settling in, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the 24-hour bistro, followed by a nightcap at Gilbert’s, the 24-hour bar. It was a warm and welcoming way to kick off our holiday.||Staff and Guest Relations|The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, helpful, and attentive. While some staff had limited English, communication was never an issue.|The Guest Relations team was especially supportive, readily answering any questions we had, and making us feel truly valued as guests. They even sent a basket of fruit and some macarons with a get well message when my wife was ill with a bad cold.||Rooms|Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the extra-large bed and the balcony overlooking one of the pools. ||Dining Options: Bars, Snack Bars, and Main Restaurant|There were many bars and snack bars around the hotel, so we were never far from food or drinks.|The quality was consistently high, and we enjoyed fresh, tasty snacks throughout the day. A highlight was the Pranzo bar, where we could order a range of dishes, from burgers to Turkish kebabs.||The main restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, with a particularly great selection of fish and grilled meats. Although it could get a bit crowded indoors, we found a lovely table on the terrace, which made every meal feel more like a special “dining out” experience.||A La Carte Restaurants|Since it was the end of the season, only two of the four a la carte restaurants were available, but the food and service were excellent at both.||Pools and Waterparks|We spent most of our time at the quiet pool near our room, where there was always an abundance of sunbeds and umbrellas. The nearby Lagoon Bar was conveniently staffed until just before we left, and it added to the peaceful atmosphere.||Although we didn’t use the main pool, we could see it from the Pranzo bar, and it looked like a lively hub with music and activities. Similarly, we didn’t use the waterparks, but they looked well-designed and perfect for families with children.||Beach Area|While we didn’t spend much time on the beach, we enjoyed a few pleasant strolls along the shoreline and short pier. The area was equipped with various bars and snack stands, including a surprising sushi stall and some places serving authentic local snacks. ||Entertainment|There was nightly entertainment at the Aquapark stage. Also evening activities near the Pranzo bar and pool with bands, karaoke, bingo etc. Though we didn’t join in every night, the shows we watched were impressive, with high-quality performances.||Exploring Göynük and Beyond|Göynük, which is a 30-minute walk from the hotel, was a lovely outing. There is a nice parade of shops. There are also market days in the town itself. |The Göynük canyon, about an hour's strenuous stroll away, was a very good walking adventure. If you walk there and back it is about a 4.5 hour round trip with some lovely views.|Entry to the gorge was affordable (5 Euros each), and there were activities like zip-lining and boat rides for those interested (at an extra cost).|For those wanting to explore further, the local bus system made it easy and economical to visit nearby resorts like Kemer. Note that it is not possible to walk between the resorts as there is no suitable footpath. The bus fare is 35TL from Göynük to Kemer. You can flag the buses down; you pay on exit and the drivers have plenty of change.||Overall Experience|In summary, we had a great time at this hotel and would happily return. The combination of friendly staff, diverse dining options, relaxing pools, and beautiful surroundings made this a truly memorable holiday.||Recommended for a relaxing, well-rounded...
Read moreHonest review ||Overall, we had a lovely stay at this hotel but some things needed to be questioned as a 5* hotel. ||Hotel grounds are beautiful and the gardeners work tirelessly to keep on top of them. The views of the mountains in the background are stunning also. ||Room - our room was nice although we paid extra for a lagoon room. The description of this was that you would get a 'swim-up room'. I certainly would not have said our room was 'swim-up'. Yes our terrace went out towards a pool but it wasn't close enough to be classed as 'swim-up'. We had a problem with hundreds of ants on our terrace on a few of the days but after reporting it, they came and sorted the problem quickly each time. The cleaners 'cleaned' the room everyday but it wasn't necessarily to a high standard. Bedding was changed, fresh towels, bins emptied and floor mopped. Mirrors were not wiped and sink area was not always wiped down. Under the beds and cupboards were filthy and didn't look like they'd been cleaned for a long time! It was my birthday whilst we were there and they left a bottle of wine and bowl of fruit in the room - a nice touch. ||Breakfast - we didn't find it difficult to find something to eat. There was no toaster, which I found strange, but you could use the toastie machine to toast your bread. The only thing is, people would have made a cheese/ham/onion/tomato toastie, which all melted onto the machine and then you had to toast your bread in it! It would have been much better to have a toaster. The fresh omelettes were lovely!||Lunch - lots of choices for lunch. We liked eating in the different restaurants - the water park, the pool bar restaurant and the patisserie. It was nice to be able to order off a menu and felt it didn't get repetitive. ||Dinner - this was a big problem for us. At busy times, you simply could not get a table. You had to stand and wait in the middle of the restaurant for someone to finish then sit down at the dirty table and wait for someone to clean it. You had to be quick though before someone else (who didn't feel like they needed to queue) got in there first! This is not the standard of a 5 star restaurant. In my opinion, it would be better to queue at the door, wait for a clean table to be available and then take you to your seat. Plenty of food choices. ||Bars - another issue for us was that you couldn't get the same drinks at each bar on the complex and they only stocked certain ingredients/drinks at some of the bars! The best bar by far was the patisserie for us and we could always get the best drinks there. It shouldn't matter which bar you are at, you should be able to get the same drinks in a 5* hotel. ||Water park - this was great for us but we decided to stick with mornings only. It got far too busy in an afternoon and there were many arguments over the inflatables because some people didn't want to share. Instead of giving up their inflatable and joining the queue, they would reuse it over and over again while the rest of us were stood waiting! Great slides and pools there though. The music was very loud! ||You could always get a sunbed around the complex at any time of day, which was a real positive for us. We hate the idea of sunbed wars! ||Beach - this was lovely and we liked the pier with the free sun beds. The water was very clear but the beach was very rocky so be prepared with beach shoes! ||Entertainment - this was very hit and miss. Some of the shows were repetitive and there wasn't a huge variety on offer. ||Staff were very friendly and helpful across the complex. ||The taxi in the hotel is very expensive. They were wanted to charge us €50 to get into Kemer and back for the market. We ended up booking an Uber, which cost us £7 each way. ||We ate at the Italian a la carte restaurant once evening and this was an great experience. Food was delicious and service was exceptional. As it was my birthday, they brought out and cake and sang to me. ||Overall, we had a nice stay but probably...
