This hotel is not a family hotel, as advertised. It does not cater for children very well. Only time children could get ice cream is at 830 at night for half an hour with only 1 flavour available at that time. No other refreshments available unless you wanted to buy them from the shop.
Entertainment was shockingly rubbish, on for approximately between 30mins to 1.5 hours per night except for a Sunday as that was their day off so no entertainment was provided at any point on a Sunday.
Swimming pool chute only available 10-12 (2 hours) and 2-4 (2 hours) Monday to Saturday, chute was closed on a Sunday. And when you did go down the chute you received small scratches and bruises to the back of your legs as there is jaggy parts and when you try to prevent the scratches and use an inflatable ring it bursts by the time you get to the bottom of the chute.
Kids club was colouring in with pencils, no games or anything else available. 90% of the time it was not manned and parents and children had to fend for themselves.
Snacks available 4-5pm that did not cater for children (hot pastries/soggy cakes)
Staff are too eager to clear your plates away, even if you’re not finished your meal of rice and veg.
Hotel is not for Scottish or English the food available does not cater for our needs as United Kingdom citizens.
A lot of food was under cooked, ie chicken was pink.
Or over cooked in some cases chips burnt to a crispy piece of charcoal.
Received a strand of black hair in our food on two separate occasions and also a strand of ginger hair too.
Rooms are out of date and not what the pictures advertise. Family room consisted of 2single beds pushed together + a very small couch like thing that only a small child could fit in.
Shower in room was broken and took 2 days for maintenance to come up and fix, so had to use another rooms shower during this time which it leaked and had to put a towel down to mop up the water when in use (this was reported but never fixed)
While having food, every meal time on everyday you have cats walking around the whole restaurant area so please take allergy tablets.
Life guard on duty is too busy on his mobile phone, rather than watching the pool to keep the kids + other guests safe. When you actually need him he just looks at you as if you are from another planet.
Served real glass at pool side for your drinks so when one got broken, no one helped to clear it up so you had to try your best and make sure you got all glass off the ground. If you never got all the glass up there were a few cuts on people feet. Sorry, but this is a safety hazard and there was also never a first aider on site to help with the cuts because when you asked the life guard for help he just ignored you and walked away.
No plug to take a bath, reception said they were all removed and never replaced.
While sitting watching the family play pool in the lounge area the ceiling partly caved in with water pouring from it. No maintenance or wet floor signs were placed for approximately 25mins, again another safety hazard.
Not to mention if you did want to play pool, you had to hire the cues for 5 euro a time.
The staff were very stand off ish. They looked at you as if you shouldn’t be asking for a drink, even though we had all inclusive bands on!
Hugely disappointed and will not be returning to Turkey ever again and we will share this to our friends and family about how disappointed we were with our stay in the...
Read moreSo I’m going to give a thorough review, but I’m going to start with - me and my partner paid 450€ each for 7 days, including flight and all included. If u are planning on paying a lot more than that you probably are going to have a different experience. Our expectations were very mid, because we knew it was a cheap holiday for us. We met a family there who paid approx 6000£ (for three people) and they were not happy. Overall if u are open minded and don’t get shitty about the rooms being just a little bit worn, don’t expect princess treatment from the staff and are there to just enjoy a peaceful holiday, this place is very good. ROOMS: we had a garden view and it was so nice and quiet. The shower was a little worn but it worked great. Pressure was incredible and no problems with water temperature. Also given shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. Towels are changed every 3 days. For beach and pool you have to rent towels (it was said they cost but we got them for free). 2l of water in the mini fridge every day. TV worked great and had english, german and russian channels. Room conditioner worked excellently. FOOD: Food was kind of repetitive but they also did little changes every day. Also there was a new kind of “show food” every dinner. For example there was a dude on the grill outside cooking kebabs on stick or cooking noodles and serving from a cheese wheel. There were also burgers, sushi, grilled chicken. If you are a picky eater even then you’d find something you like. There was a lot to choose from and they served grilled and fried food mostly outside and salads, fruits, desserts, and deli food inside. We were very happy with the food and always had two plates. DRINKS: There were three bars on the hotel area, pool, lobby and dining area. You can get beer (lager), white, red, rose wine, 5+ cocktails with the all included. But they also have plenty of spirits so you can ask for special cocktails or sth as-well. PROGRAM: Monday to Saturday were programs at 21:00. Some of them were bingo night, couples competition, magic show. Every night was a little disco for kids. The main dudes who run it also do a disco tour to clubs every night so you can go with them (we didn’t and it also costs extra obv). After the program the music shuts off and there isn’t much to do because they only serve drinks til 24:00. We were okay with the quiet and just played cards. LOCATION: The hotel has a shuttle that takes you to their beach. Right next to hotel is a big shopping area. Pharmacies are also easy to find. In the hotel itself you’ll find a little shop, a photography place, spa, jewellery shop and a little clothes shop. Some extras that are worth mentioning as-well: Theres lots of wild cats in the hotel area. They are very chill and don’t bother humans. They serve free popcorn and cotton candy every night. Hookah and ice cream cocktails for extra cost. Freshly pressed orange juice for extra cost. There was a man who had a monkey so they took pictures of you with the monkey sitting on your head and stuff (7€ for one picture). Pool is open from 6:00-18:00.
We were very happy with our experience but manage your expectations. It is not a 5* hotel but if you are just looking for a great, peaceful holiday then this place is very good. Also good for...
Read moreI think the main reason there are so many bad reviews for the hotel is due to the classification as a 4* Hotel. In my honest opinion, it is not a 4* and probably best rated as a 3*.
Overall, the hotel interior is quite dated as are the rooms. I stayed in a room with laminate flooring which seemed nicer than the ones with carpet. Room cleanliness was very hit and miss. The floors weren’t cleaned daily. If you walked barefoot in your room then the bottoms of your feet were black. It states that 1L of water is provided daily, but some days I received none or only 0.4l. Not a big issue as there are plenty of fridges dotted around the hotel with water, but you’d expect consistency from a 4* hotel and not having to fetch it yourself. Ash tray outside room was emptied some days and other days just left full. Beds were fine and quite firm. Had a leaky shower and the cleaner would use the foot towel to mop up all the water meaning I had a soaking wet floor towel. However, the showers are very powerful and hot which is a bonus!
Staff overall were good. Luckily we knew one of the staff from when he worked at another hotel, so he looked after us in terms of providing drinks to our table etc. A couple of other waiters also looked after us once we tipped them. The lady who worked the breakfast on the outside grill was fantastic and looked after us very well also! We were never pestered for tips, but as you’ll find at any hotel, if you tip you will receive better service. Downside of the hotel staff were the people pestering you for photographs, tattoos, hamams and the cocktail / ice cream bar, but this also happens at other hotels.
Food is very repetitive. Breakfast is good, the usual breakfast items and outside on the grill you can get omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes, along with chips and onion rings.
Dinner and tea you’ll see a lot of the same daily, including chicken (often in a sauce), Turkey roll in a sauce, pasta and sauce, vermecelli. If you are British you might be better off sticking to the grill outside where Pizza, hamburgers, meatballs, Chips, Chicken Kebab, Chicken wings, Grilled fish etc is served.
Didn’t try any cocktails or other drinks as I lived off whisky and coke which was fine.
Very limited number of Brits here but we did stay the first 2 weeks of November so that is probably why.
So, overall, not a 4* hotel in my opinion (having stayed in lots of 4* hotels). However, value for money is fantastic, despite my complaints. The hotel stay for 14 nights all inclusive worked out at approximately £30 per night. It really is the saying “you get what you pay for” – which at the Dosi is no frills but enough to enjoy your stay. Would I stay here again? If the price was right, yes. However, if there were other 4* hotels with only a marginal difference in price, I wouldn’t and would...
