Firstly if i could rate this at less than 1 then i certainly would as it deserves to be knocked down, never mind open to paying customers!!!!||||Myself and partner expected it to be basic as it was cheap however it was booked as a place to sleep whilst we explored the area. We arrived late at night to no English speaking staff at all, the man who checked us in seemed annoyed that we had disturbed him sleeping on the sofa in the reception area. ||eventually we managed to get to the room, on the way up we had 2 large suitcases and hand luggage which he never offered to help carry he marched ahead of us whilst we struggled upstairs (i wish at this point he had never even opened the door). firstly looking into the room it was basic, dirty, the walls were literally falling down, the windows broken, electric cables hanging loose, the main electric fuse was covered by a picture frame, the bed sheets were dirty and used with makeup stains on them, they had wet towels splayed over the bed which smelt foisty. ||||Then we get to the bathroom- i could here from the moment we walked in that there was a drip coming from somewhere i assumed it was outside. NOPE it was from the toilet, it was spraying water out from behind the pipes onto the bathroom floor. It was dirty and again had holes in both the walls and ceiling. The cup provided above the basin was used with toothpaste marks on it, the sink was disgusting to say the least. ||We immediately went back to reception and tried to explain the situation to staff who really couldn't be bothered. He did something to the back of the toilet and it did reduce the leak, by this point i was in shock, my husband asked if he thought the state of the room was acceptable and if there was a chance of changing rooms. their reply "NO! Sleep 1 night and see dayshift". ||The balcony was a disgrace below was views of the laundry area where your towels etc were left on the floor and hung up still dirty, providing a smell of sewerage. ||||I settled for that and spent the night Awake feeling lost, vulnerable and searching for anew hotel. We didn't sleep both of us perched on the edge of the bed watching the clock in the hope of someone on dayshift being more hospitable. ||Morning came and needless to say it wasn't much better. ||We had decided by this point that we had to book another hotel and get out of this place Immediatley. ||We did manage to get the WiFi password to book a hotel. during this process we witnessed the rude man who checked us in beat a stray dog to collapsing point in front of guests who seemed to be enjoying themselves. (How im still not sure I felt like we had expereicned the very worst of the country) ||By this point neither of us had eaten, had anything to drink, showered, slept or been to the toilet in over 24 hours. ||We managed to get a taxi to leave and that is when our holiday began to improve. the taxi drive was amazing and spoke a little english, i was so worked up and stressed i just burst into tears the moment he asked us how we were. ||||Overall my point is please DO NOT book this place! it is not worth the money (even if it seems cheap- there is a reason for it) with some hope it will get...
Read moreI arrived at 2am only to be told, (in sign language) that I had no room till tomorrow, sat in bar area only to meet others in the same boat. About 4am we were driven to another hotel where the three of us where given a two bedroom flat for the night. After being picked up the next day we finally got our rooms by midday. My room was bad (though clean. The toilet tank had no lid on it, there was no bedding, the A/C was usless and the curtains were covered in blood. All these I could live with because of its a cheap place to stay. The real kick in the teeth was the music played at night club levels from midday till late at night. It was so loud that the base bounced my bed around my room. I three times tried to get it turned down, not off but just enough that when I played my own music in my room that I could hear it. This had no effect, to the point where it was being turned up. It got to the point that I got very angry, on day 4 my room was changed to the other side of the hotel. Now I had to deal with no bedding a shower that didnt work and an A/C that had one level. ||Overall not having a fridge in your room, the lack of clean sheets, the staff not giving a f@@k and a breakfast that is served between 8-10 meaning that someone will turn up between 8 and 10 and serve you the 1 choice of breakfast, the pool injuring guests because the masonry needs re pointing and the staff are lead by their dicks so the best looking girl has free reign, makes this the worse holiday ever. Don't go there unless you are a masochist. ||The shops around are full of great people that will make your patronage a good thing. The white horse...
Read moreThis hotel has zero ratings the place is unfit for habitation. The cleaner is a Syrian refugee (lovely guy) who has to sleep on a public access balcony next to the fire escape. Most of the electrical fittings were hanging off the wall/ceiling. The light in the bathroom wasn't even covered neither was a plug socket. The toilet wasn't secured to the floor. I tried 3 different rooms, the second of which the balcony door didn't close and it was next to the public balcony which housed the fire escape. The fire escape went onto the roof of a building I am sure that the roof was not a safe place to be. BUT the piece-de-la-resistance was the hundreds of ants that I found in my bed when I woke up and all over the room. None of the staff spoke English, German or French. I am pretty sure there was some dodgy dealing going on. It was like Fawlty Towers...
