My wife and I stayed here in the first week of July. Positives: Dayanan is the best cocktail maestro. He knows how to make different cocktails outside the menu. Rooms were clean. The guest relations amazing. They answer quickly and do their best to help you straight away. Everyone spoke English. Dinner was always good and especially in the a la cart restaurants, service incredible. Gözleme abla was great. The shows were great. All the workers were very kind and helpful, from bars to restaurants. Cave bar/inside the pool.
Negatives: The gym is filthy and full of bugs. It's airless, no water or clean towels early in the morning. The equipment is 100 years old. The breakfast is absolutely terrible. I don't like writing negative things, especially about food but the variety was very bad. The food is tasteless. The pastries are frozen. 90% of them. They also manage to undercook frozen potatoes. They even served crunchy/undercooked beans. They use too too much oil. Pancakes are from a ready to use mix and horrible. The omelette and eggs are swimming in oil. 95% of eggs are overcooked. The same at lunch, meat is always dry and cooked for 3 days it seems. They give homey but not kaymak for breakfast Why?? The dessert ls are always the and very very tasteless. Patisserie should be somewhere people go each day. No if you make tasteless desserts served by a lady that doesn't smile amd looks unhappy all the time. There were flies and bugs in the dining hall, always. That doesn't suit a 5 star hotel. The guy who is responsible for the volleybol puts towels for specific people each morning. Difficult to find place near the pools if you don't wake up at 7. The man giving the towels was rude and didn't want to give an extra towel. The lobby didn't have any air conditioning in the first 3 days of our stay. The snack food was not good. All fried and tasteless, mostly frozen food or food made of ready mixes. Flies all over the food as it wasn't covered properly. No alcohol near the beach, only beer and one option throughout the hotel. People were smoking everywhere near the pool and beach. People from other hotels spend time in the pool of our hotel. The hotel will try to take extra money from you at every turn. Example: Playing pool, eating popcorn or weigh your luggage.
Neutral: Sea gets deep right away and it's mostly rocks under the sea - no sand except the beach. Some of the workers during breakfast didn't like people that speak Turkish, they preferred foreigners. The people from the leather shop were walking near the beach and asking people to buy things from them. In my opinion of someone is interested in it, he/she can go to the shop. The coffee bar needs improvement.
I have noted that the workers in the Patisserie and some other workers during breakfast/ man that made the omelette, the guy who was making the bread were unhappy and they didn't smile. All the baristas except Dayanan and the chefs that prepare the breakfast need serious training. I suggest the manager to test everything himself. If it's not good for him, it's shouldn't be presented to the guests.
It was a OK experience overall. The hotel has potential. However, someone works hard all year to be able to afford a holiday. That person must get nothing but an amazing experience. Thank you again Natia, Dayanan and especially Muhammed from the a la...
Read moreDuring my recent stay at the All-Inclusive Hotel Seven Seas in Antalya, my experience was a mix of highs and lows that I feel compelled to share.
Let's start with the positives. The mesmerizingly clear sea water and the pristine beach were unquestionably the highlights of the resort. However, it's worth noting that the path to the sea was a bit challenging due to the scorching hot sand, which can be uncomfortable for some visitors.
The culinary delights at the hotel were a true treat, offering a wide array of delicious food options that catered to various tastes and preferences. Additionally, the variety of sports and activities provided an excellent selection for fitness enthusiasts. Aqua Fitness, Zumba, and other engaging activities made my stay both fun and fulfilling.
One individual who made a significant impact on my visit was Klara, the gym trainer. Her enthusiasm, knowledge, and dedication truly stood out. Klara went above and beyond to create a motivating and enjoyable fitness experience for me and other guests. She provided personalized guidance, adapted exercises to our needs, and made sure we stayed on track with our fitness goals. Klara's friendly and approachable nature made her a true gem at the resort, and I cannot thank her enough for making my stay even better.
On the flip side, there were certain aspects that detracted from the overall experience. Unfortunately, the hotel's cleaning lady displayed a rather rude demeanor, which was quite disappointing and unexpected in an all-inclusive resort. Also, after coming from the beach exhausted, we came to find our room had not been cleaning (at 14:00) which was very disturbing.
Furthermore, the teen club seemed to be in need of renewal, as it appeared rundown and difficult to locate. Despite this, the teen animators were commendably welcoming and kind, as were the sport teachers. Their effort to create a pleasant environment was notable and appreciated.
One significant issue that stood out during my stay was the lack of clarity surrounding the daily activities schedule. The vague descriptions such as "Zumba/dance/kangaroo jumping" made it difficult to plan my day effectively. I found myself constantly having to inquire about the schedule to know what activities were happening. It would be beneficial for the resort to provide a more detailed and organized activities plan for guests to make the most of their time.
The evening shows, while entertaining, did seem to be on the lower end of the budget scale. The comedy show, in particular, was quite disappointing, and some of the content included offensive humor. The attempt to mimic "Chinese eyes" during the kids' entertainment was distressing and culturally insensitive. It is crucial for the hotel to avoid perpetuating stereotypes and promote a more respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
In conclusion, the All-Inclusive Hotel Seven Seas has much to offer, with its breathtaking beach and sea, delightful culinary experiences, and an enthusiastic gym trainer like Klara, who made my stay memorable. However, there are areas that require improvement, such as ensuring respectful and culturally sensitive entertainment and addressing issues with the teen club's appearance. With these enhancements, the hotel can undoubtedly provide an even more exceptional and inclusive experience for all guests. I honestly expected more from a...
Read moreThis was our fourth time in Turkey.
Overall I agree with some previous reviews that the hotel is big and used to be luxury level five stars hotel a decade ago but now it is a bit worn out. It is decent 4.0 rating hotel in my opinion.
RECEPTION: at first we were much impressed with the quick provision of the room however this impression was spoiled by some disconnect with the lady submitting requests from guests and someone fulfilling them. We were asked if it was the first time we reported an issue when we reiterated on the same issue again. Receptionist asked us to come in the morning and then we went into cycles.
ROOM: A bit shabby with some minor cracks and mold in the bathroom. Working conditioning was real savior. Fridge was weak barely cooling down the diary for the kid.
TERRITORY: Huge territory benefiting from various landscape and building designs. The downside is that sometimes such territory is hard to maintain and you can spot old artifacts here and there. Besides I would like it more if there were more illumination at night-time and more shade during the day.
BEACH: No one told us there is a grid of rocks going into the water right in the centre. When the sea is not calm it is not safe to bathe with kids there. We used to swim about 20 metres left where there are no rocks.
POOLS: 2 adult pools, kids pool and pool channel are all great. Would be lovely to re-enable the stream in the circular pool channel. The main slides are old though needing refurbishment.
ANIMATION: Kids animation was fine. Adult animation could be quicker to start. It is the first time I see animators clapping hands and smiling for about 20 minutes just cheering up people before the main performance.
RESTAURANTS: The layout of the main restaurant was a bit confusing. Besides, to me, it looked overburdened with design decisions, steps and statues. I am not sure it is a good idea to mind the steps everywhere carrying a plate. Quality and variety was fair but far from perfect. A bright spot was an elder man cooking special meals at the main hall. I would expect a wider variety of fruits in August as I saw figs sold on the streets and never served there. Lentil soup could be a one day solution rather than recurring meal for 4 straight days in the main restaurant and beach cafe.
BARS: I think I should pay for Ultra-All inclusive next time to have a better variety of drinks. A number of plain cocktails, local vodka, gin, raki, cheap wine. Turkish Efes beer is pretty enjoyable though.
ROOM SERVICE: A real exception here as we loved how thoroughly cleaned and shiny our room was.
A separate word should be shared about the guests. 80% were Russian speakers and I believe this was the big symptom of this hotel's decline. Higher tier hotels tend to welcome more guests from the western countries which reflects in the quality of service provided.
This is a fine 4 stars hotel. To get back to its initial fame it needs rebrendering with a new look on the legacy from...
