Last year we went by booking directly from the hotel. This year, we chose Royal Taj Mahal Side Kumköy again during Ramadan with ETS tour. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was the quality of service we received during our first stay at the hotel. Mr. Yağız, an ETS tour representative, called us on the road on our check-in day and asked how our journey was and whether we had any requests during our stay at the hotel. If we want to enter the hotel and list the hotel's facilities, we may be able to help other guests. 1-When we entered the hotel, the customer relations representative and the bellboy welcomed us with their smiling faces. 2-The first question they asked was whether we were hungry. They advised us that we had 15 minutes left for lunch and that if we were hungry, we could eat without waiting to enter the rooms. Our 3-rooms had superior sea view and were in block A. Last year, we stayed in block E with sea and pool views. Block E is quieter and Block E is the block with pool and music sounds. 4- While the friends at the reception were processing our rooms, they offered us coffee, chocolate, champagne and cookies in the lobby if we wanted. 5-When we went to our rooms, the cleanliness, spaciousness and view were very good. 6-There are 3 pools at the front sea side, 1 pool at the back, a pool with slides and bars around the pools. 7-When it comes to the hotel's food, they have done a great job, improving from last year. I personally congratulated the kitchen chef and his assistants. Since food and service quality are very important to me, Taj Mahal Hotel deserves 10 out of 10 in this regard. 8-Speaking of the food, the service team looks you in the eye and you almost never wait for the drinks served to the table. The service staff do their job both cordially and respectfully. 9-You can have food and drinks at any time at the bars around the pool and on the beach. Snacks offer many options for both children and adults. 10-The amusement park, which is open after dinner until 21.30 in the evenings, is a great service for children. Both children and adults can benefit from this opportunity. 11- The beach is sandy, there are enough sunbeds and showers are sufficient. 12-Since the date we went coincided with Ramadan Feast, the number of guests was quite high. However, the hotel team did their best to provide a successful service during the holiday in such a crowded environment. 13-On the occasion of Ramadan Feast, they served us a wonderful Chocolate and Eid candy feast at the entrance of the Hotel and the Dining Hall. Thank you for your efforts. 14-During the holiday, every day at lunch time, the kitchen team served us special tastes specific to Turkey by the pool. At night, they feasted on sausage rolls and hot dogs accompanied by music for the guests. 15- Last year the animation team was quite weak. They are working with a better team this year. The sisters at Mini Club always take care of the children and try to make them happy. In conclusion, we would like to thank the Royal Taj Mahal Team, especially the General Manager who is always in charge of his job, and all the other Team Leaders for giving us a nice holiday. I think, unless God prevents us from doing so, we will be in the same hotel next year during Ramadan Feast.

I recently stayed at the Royal Taj Mahal Hotel in Antalya, and overall, it was a great experience. Cleanliness: 5/5 The hotel is spotless, with a large team constantly working to keep everything clean. This really made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Food: 3.5/5 The food variety is decent, but I was disappointed by the lack of seafood in the buffet. The Turkish dishes, however, were delicious and definitely a highlight for me. Staff: 4/5 The staff is kind and helpful, but communication can be a challenge since most of them only speak Turkish or German. It would be great if more staff could speak English. Facilities: 5/5 The hotel offers big pools, fun water slides, and even a small amusement park for kids, which is a fantastic feature. Food service is available everywhere, even on the beach, which is really convenient. Management & Services: 5/5 Hotel management, reception, housekeeping, and childcare services are all top-notch. They made sure everything was well-organized and that our stay was pleasant. Value for Money: 4/5 I paid 3,000 euros for 5 nights in a duplex with two bedrooms. While the experience was enjoyable and worth it overall, I do feel that the price is on the higher side. It could be better if the rates were a bit more reasonable. Overall, I recommend Royal Taj Mahal for a family-friendly vacation, especially if you're looking for a clean, well-managed hotel with plenty of activities for kids. Just be prepared for the language barrier and a limited seafood selection.

This is our fourth time visiting as a family, and we absolutely love this place! The staff are friendly, the food is fantastic, and the facilities and service are all top-notch. Our rooms are spacious, and the cleaning team does an amazing job every day — every detail is perfect. A special shoutout to Tolga from the entertainment team, who always makes our stay extra memorable. We’re always sad to say goodbye to him! Osman at the shisha bar is also fantastic, offering some of the best shisha/hookahs we’ve ever tried. The hotel’s location is perfect — surrounded by shops and close to popular sites like Side. Taxis are easy to find right outside, or you can simply ask at reception. If there’s one small improvement to suggest, it would be to add more shade near the kids’ pool as it can be hard to find shade for small children even with the sunbed umbrellas. Overall, an amazing stay that we look forward to every time! Also to mention after reading some other British reviews, we are a British family and found no issue with language or with the German people that stay at the hotel. If you’re friendly to people they will be friendly back we always find.

I suggest you read the whole review here since we had an accident during our holiday.||On one of the first days, my wife and son went from the yellow slide as can be seen on the advertised hotel pictures. You slide of this on a rubber band. A lifeguard at the top of the slide decides when to release you and then pushes you down the slide. In our case, he pushed my wife and son before the slide had been cleared at the bottom - there were still people on the slide. As he spinned them around when pushing them down, they were going rearwards and could not see anything coming. At the bottom, my wife hit her back on something or somebody, resulting in pain in her back, neck and arms. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance about an hour later after seeing the hotel doctor.|The hospital stated the scans were clear but wanted her to stay an extra night. She declined, after which she was immediately dismissed with no medical records, proof of scans, etc. In the hotel, guest relations was being as helpful as they could be and the next day we received a fruit basket with a "get well soon" card.||As a consequence, my wife was unable to take care of our baby the following days. Our other two kids were also quite shocked by the event and did not really use the slides anymore for the rest of the holidays (one of the reasons we went to this hotel). They were scared of the slides and were worried about getting injured. My wife kept having pain for the rest of the holidays.||The hotel acknowledged what happened and I made a claim with both the hotel and travel operator, asking for a refund of 2 days as we felt this was what we lost during our stay. Both did not reply for 3 weeks. My last email was answered with "take whatever legal steps you want".||We are very disappointed with how the hotel management dealt with this accident. Though we know accidents can happen, what defines a hotel is how they deal with them. The negligence of the life guard caused an injury which could change a person's life. Fortunately we were lucky so to say, but a small refund is the least what the hotel could do. Completely disregarding our request seems like this hotel only cares about money, and not about its guests.||Besides the above, the hotel itself is very nice. There is plenty of food to choose from, and there are quite a few places where you can eat and drink. We appreciated it very much that next to the swimming pool there is a simple restaurant where you can have lunch. Same goes for the beach: your all-inclusive is also valid in the beach restaurant, providing lunch and drinks (drinks are all day long). The cocktails were tasty though the quality did differ. Every cocktail seemed to be different, even if you ordered the same. There was no consistency between the barmen.|Rooms were very spacious. Bathroom was a bit dated but sufficed.||Swimming pools were nice, but the pools for the really little ones were very basic. The bigger pools are 1m40 everywhere, meaning for anything up to a 9-year old, it is probably too deep to stand in. We were really missing a pool of let's say 1m00 deep.|Around some of the swimming pools was a strong smell of sewage, which was quite disgusting. This was not the case everywhere though.||Opening times of the slides are somewhat limited, 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.30 (in the beginning even 16.00).|The lunapark has some great entertainment for the kids but the machines felt dated and sometimes somewhat unsafe. The boat for example has a bar that keeps you in place as the boat rocks back and forth. However, we found there's quite some space between your body and the bar and we didn't feel completely safe.||There are life guards everywhere but their work days are limited: they are not there the whole day. It happened more than once that we noticed they were just playing with their phone and paying less attention than they should be. This group of mostly young people seemed to take their job too lightly and though you should always keep your own kids safe, it would have been nice to see more professionalism from the life guards. Safety seems to be more of a show for this hotel than top priority.||Altogether it was a great holiday, had it not been for the accident at the beginning of the holiday. Though we were taken care of at that moment, the after care was very bad and management's refusal to deal with the situation and guest satisfaction is appalling.||We specifically liked the hotel rooms and the offered food and drinks. Overal though, we don't expect to ever come back to this hotel and in the future will stay...

The hotel is very beautiful, our family room was spacious with 2 persons bed, one person bed and one extra bed they brought. The room was facing the aqua park and mountains, very beautiful. The room has necessary facilities, toileterries. The hotel has several pools however majority of them are 140 deep which is not handy for small kids. Therefore we stayed most of the times by the aquapark where smaller pools are located. There are about 8 slides, one was closed during our stay and 2nd closed also the last days. Normally kids as of 10 can go on majority of slides, however if you sign a paper at reception that you take the responsibility, they will give another bracelet to your kids to be able to make all slides. My son of 6 did all the slides by himself. But of course kids must be able to swim, because you land in the pools of 140-180 deep. There are also 3 baby slides, which kids can enjoy. The lifeguards in the aquapark are super friendly and always having fun with you, which always adds on to your mood.|The beach is just infront of the hotel, with real soft sand. There are enough chairs everywhere. Many people reserve chairs early, but even those coming at 10-11 always find a spot. At the beach you can enjoy water sports. They also make photos and videos of you when you do it, make sure to negotiate the price if you want to buy those photos/videos;-) if you have kids, there is kids club. Compared to other hotels, there were not much special activities in there and often you need to pay extra for example for a glitter tattoo. What’s nice is that some days you can have banana ride at the sea for 15€, therefore with 5€ discount. My kids of 6&8 had fun and did it twice. The ladies in kids club speak mostly German and Turkish. One lady speaks Russian. There is a promenade next to the beach where you can walk. If you go to the right from the hotel, till the bridge, you can spot sea turtles swimming under it. They are used that people come to feed them with eggs there:)|The hotel has its own free of charge lunapark. Kids and even us enjoyed it every day. In the evening there are shows however compared to another hotels, the shows here were not so great, however if you are not traveling often, you might be happy with those.|The spa at the hotel is twice more expensive than on the street, and eventhough I asked for soft massage, I still god very painful one and had to 100 times say that it’s too hard. So go on the street infron of the hotel, where shopping place is. There we paid 45€ for 2 persons full body massage of 1h. The shopping in front is open till 23:30, the quality of items is not that great compared to other places in turkey we’ve been, but prices are rather cheap and open for negotiation. There is other shopping area 15min further, with lower prices but also lower quality.|The hotel has one buffet restaurant, we always found something to eat. There are several snack places open here and there but we didn’t eat there as it’s mostly fastfood, but also fruits. There is free bottles water everywhere around the hotel and icecreams.|The hotel is located 1h drive from the airport. Transfer back if pretty much in advance, to ensure you arrive 3h before the flight or even earlier. In our case when we have already checked in it’s rather a disadvantage, as turning there for 3h is pretty long.|Important to know that this hotel speaks mostly German as most of the clients here are Germans. It’s pretty annoying because the English of the staff members as well as people around the hotel (eg in shopping) if rather bad.|Opening hours of kids club are not very comfy: 10:30-12, 14:30-17, not handy if you want to have massage later in the day. Opening hours of aquapark 10-12, 14-16:30, with hardy queues. Opening hours of lunapark 19-21:30.|No food before 17-18:30, except for patisery.|All in all good hotel with minor things that...
