Wow! Where do I start? My 17yr old daughter and I decided to take off from a cold and wet Scotland for 10 days in the sun! My daughter suffers from autism so it really stopped us from being able to enjoy all the great things this hotel had to offer but il try to cover as many things as possible being as honest as I can.|When we rocked up to Prenses (40 mins shuttle bus from airport) it was mind blowingly gorgeous, very grand and light and bright! We spent the first night in a lovely room on the ground floor. The room was lovely but I had paranoia about being on the ground floor due to being broken into in another country when I was a kid so we were changed to another room on the first floor. I didn't even need to explain myself at reception they just changed our room with a smile on their face :-) We were given 2 cards to our lovely room, which was spacious, clean, had comfy beds and the best power shower ever! We had a land facing view but I would highly recommend a sea facing room or if you have the budget the terrace rooms look phenomenal! Our cleaner was in the vicinity, smiling every day, she couldn't speak much English so we used our Google translator when we needed to know things like where to get girl toiletries and where to get cash exchanged! She always made sure we had the things we needed like clean towels and water and made lovely patterns with our bedding & pyjamas after cleaning our room. She was so good throughout our holiday we left her 1000lira in her cleaning cupboard one night (when we were drunk haha) for her to find in the morning! Then we had a thought that maybe another holidaymaker had been in the cupboard before us and she didn't get the tip so we ended up asking her if she found it and she had and we had a hug and it was all very sweet ❤️ |The restaurant is out of this world, the waiters & chefs are immaculate and the food is mind blowingly good! There is a HUGE variety of everything and it tastes SOOOOO good. I tried lots of new foods during my time there and my daughter did too. Highly recommend going at the start of meals times as the 2 times we were late I found hair in my food which 100% came from other holidaymakers self serving as opposed to the immaculate hotel & staff! The pool bar, pool & slides were all so good. Easy to get a sun lounger, drink & food which we're all great and served with big smiles. |We didn't experience the beach, patisserie or spa but all looked really great! But there was free ice creams and bottled water available throughout hotel. Entertainment every day night with the team engaging with everyone and speaking various languages to make us all feel included! Due to my daughter's autism and levels of anxiety we chose to leave the hotel most nights and go on little excursions through the day but on our second last night the resteraunt/bar manager came and spoke with me asking why they hadn't seen us around so much. I explained the situation with my daughter and from then on he was looking out for us at dinner and at the bar which was really nice. The hotel is primarily German tourists and I actually came home speaking some German! I had really wanted to learn a little Turkish so on our last day we had a crash course lesson over lunch at the pool bar with out waiter hahaha! I have already been back online trying to book to go back to this hotel in May 25 along with the rest of my family this time but we just can't afford it being 5 of us so having to pick somewhere else a little closer to our budget! Thanks for the good memories! Gemma & Isla,...
Read moreHotel |Currently here on day 5 of a week’s holiday. |So whilst lying on my sun lounger I thought I’d pop on a quick review. ||Pros|Absolutely love the free high quality (Oreo, Twisters etc) ice creams and lollies available all afternoon! Never has this before. Also the patisserie. ||Airy, comfortable rooms, only sheets on kids beds but once we asked for a small duvet, we have one delivered quickly.||Food is really lovely! Always a live cooking station for sweet and savoury. We did go off the chicken a little after finding some bits a little pink, and we fed this back. But everything else is really good. And we liked the pool bar for lunch.||Pool is lovely and we’re here in school hols and you can still find a subbed at 9am. This is almost unheard of anywhere else. I always wake around 7 and head down when a book, and I’m usually sat totally alone until at least 7.30. ||Most staff really helpful and especially kind to my 7 year old. She loved the Barman’s ice throwing tricks when she ordered a drink. ||Cons|For us the hotel was too focused on the Germans. This was probably because there were literally only uk 3 families staying whilst we were here. Made it hard for the kids to make friends, and manners in queues etc are poles apart (obviously this isn’t the hotels fault). We’re not against being the only Brits, but most entertainment etc was in German, and it was hard not to feel an outcast. I believe that most of the animation staff are actually German too. ||The resort Side isn’t just Germans, I think perhaps other hotels have a totally different ratio. ||We arrived at 11.45pm and were told the restaurant was still open. But once there it was all packed away apart from some broth like soup and bread with no butter. We had several hungry kids with us due to Easy Jet running out of all food on the plane! So this wasn’t ideal. ||Having been to Dubai for the last 2 years it was hard not to continually compare, but actually this is Turkey, and things are totally different here. ||Hope this helps anyone who’s about to...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay here but there were a couple of things that meant we couldn't give it 5 out of 5.||||The hotel is beautiful, very elegant with good facilities. However, the rooms need an upgrade and were not up to a 5 star standard. The furniture and floor is tired and our internal room lock didn't work, and the shower door handle was missing. We reported both to reception but they didn't seem bothered.||||Wifi is excellent with a strong/fast signal, even down at the beach bar. There was a wall mounted router in our room so we never had an issue, however we did have to re-login every day.||||The food was more basic than we expected and as a pescatarian I struggled to cobble together meals.||||The guests were mainly Turkish/German and we had a great time mixing with everyone. I learned how to do a Turkish dance. The atmosphere in the hotel was great and was enhanced by the fabulous staff. It was nice to have waitress service in the hotel bars. We got particularly great service from DOGAN in the restaurant and beach bar, he was fantastic and looked after us brilliantly. Also the animation team ROMEO and ELVIS as well as the young lady with them (I didn't get her name unfortunately). They worked so hard especially when the weather wasn't great to try and keep us occupied.||||The shops in the hotel were good and friendly.||||Please note that there is construction going on behind the pool area and they start early, about 6.30. Looks like it's going to be a new hotel. The call to prayer can be heard too about 05.40 from the nearby mosque. As it wasn't warm enough for air con we did sleep with the balcony door open, so in the summer with the door closed and air con on you might not hear anything.||||As usual in 80% of the hotels we stay in, we weren't asked if we enjoyed our stay on check out, which is bug bear of mine.||||Overall, it was a great 8 nights with some of the best hotel staff we've ever encountered and we would return if the rooms...
