Checkin Great, was at ~2am but was offered food and drink. Quick process and was in the room within 10 minutes of arrival
Pool Very spacious. The activities in the pool are limited with fitness twice per day and then spin bikes once per week. There were minor ‘bed wars’ here with the majority of beds reserved by 8am despite the signs on each umbrella forbidding it. Nice to see that those who did this sometimes were seen to find their personal items moved by the time they finally arrived to the pool (whether by staff or other guests is unclear). Each umbrella has a QR code to order drinks to be delivered. No option to have any snacks delivered to you but the Al a Carte by the pool had a selection of chilled sandwiches and wraps you could collect. They also did pizzas which you could takeaway in a box to eat by the pool. The area and gardens around the pool were kept brilliantly clean, the gardeners were always seen tidying and perfecting the shrubs.
Beach Plenty of sun beds here and also each having a QR code to order drinks. Staff would walk with you to a set of beds to dust the sand off and ensure everything okay for you which was excellent. Volleyball only activity available provided by the hotel at the beach. Unfortunately the tide carried a splurge of plastic and the sand full of cigarette butts. Not the fault of the hotel but wasn’t nice to see. Smoking is prevalent here around the beach and pool.
Evening Entertainment Regularly felt inappropriate for young children with women with little clothing on dancing on stage. Even times with the act being labelled an acrobatics show was filled with barely dressed women grinding in each other and little acrobatics to be seen.
Children Miniclub is directed more at 2-4 year olds. Not much there for children older than that other than puzzles and some drawing material. As such went once for 15 minutes and didn’t bother again. Mini disco was disappointing as it wasn’t held where the main show stage it, instead at the opposite end of the hotel in the miniclub. The disco consisted of staff putting in some kids music and then leading a dance. It wasn’t engaging and again, went once and left early.
Food / Drinks Food was of exceptional quality both in the buffets and al a cartes. Al a cartes are best booked on the hotel app at 9:01am each day or you may struggle for a table. Really impressed with the variety and quality of food available, something that made this hotel really stand out from the crowd. No wristband needed at this hotel as it’s only all inclusive and as such there was no need to give room numbers, sign a receipt etc.
Checkout Checkout is midday but there is a courtesy room available with secure storage for bags/suitcases. There are showers, towels and changing rooms available all without charge.
4/5 due to the lack of children’s entertainment, hotel seemed favoured towards adult despite what their website says. No children’s menu available in any of the Al a cartes but they did offer to make one or two simple dishes on request. If going as adults with no young children then it’s a clear 5/5 you won’t be...
Read moreWhat an amazing place !! Stayed here with my wife in June. The weather was in the 30's for our whole stay and topped out at 37 ! The hotel is ultimate luxury and immaculate and definitely deserves it's 5 star rating. From the minute we arrived and throughout our whole stay the service from every member of staff was 1st class. Everyone was so friendly and treated us amazing. They cannot do enough for you and everyone of them smiled and made an effort throughout our whole stay. The grounds are maintained to perfection and the place is absolutely stunning. The food here was perfect for us we thoroughly enjoyed eating in the buffet restaurant and can't fault the food at all. Our favourite place to eat was at Maison Plage it's an Al a carte restaurant with an excellent menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was outstanding and the service just as good too. It says it's a snack bar but it's like eating out and a lovely outdoor restaurant every time you visit. Amazing guys in there on table service and your glass is never empty for long. They really do make an effort and we feel like we have left making friends for life. We only managed to book one of the 3 specialist A la carte restaurant's during our stay and that was Roka the seafood restaurant perched right on the seafront. The food was out of this world and it was such a beautiful setting with beautiful food and service too. The indoor patisserie was delicious with really good coffee and the best selection of sweet treats we've seen, great experience trying different things here. The private beach section was literally on our doorstep with plenty of loungers available very comfortable, like sitting on a double bed on the beach. Drinks brought to your lounger using the QR code scanner so you literally didn't have to move. The pool was huge and the pool bar was a great place to be around for cocktails all-day long, again you could get your drinks delivered to your lounger using the QR scanner. The Panora lobby was situated indoors with a terrace overlooking the entertainment area. This place was like a wine bar with lovely interior and had the most amazing selection of drinks. Nice if you want to be away from the hussle of the pool bar and enjoy the ambience in there it's also open 24hrs. We had a swim up room which was absolutely amazing, we didn't get the sun until the afternoon but that didn't bother us at all. Rooms cleaned everyday to a very high standard, mini bar topped up daily. We really cannot find a fault with anything at this amazing place. It's been a truly remarkable experience for us and we cannot thank every member of staff enough for how we've been treated during our stay. Thank you to everyone here. We usually only go places once but I can honestly say we will be back here soon....
Read moreWe were at the hotel one week from August 2nd. It is a beautiful hotel, clean, and a high standard. We chose it based on the amazing reviews so we had high expectations.
COMMUNICATION Not all the staff speak English and this affected how we experienced the service. We for instance asked about tennis at the reception and were asked to come back later because the receptionist didn't speak English.
When you speak with staff that understands and speaks English, they are very helpful.
SUNBEDS Most of the sunbeds around the pool are occupied with towels shortly after 7 in the morning. It was ok for us since it was often noisy there because of the activities with loud music.
We found a nice quiet place in the garden between the pools and the beach - right after the Beach Club. There were available sunbeds there most of the time.
We went to the beach to swim every day, and we could see that there were often available sunbeds there.
SECURITY AT BEACH At the beach, if you do not bring the Barut beach bag from your room, security will most likely ask you where you are staying. It is good that they keep a close eye on the area.
SMOOKING If you are sensitive to others smoking, you should know that there are ashtrays around the grounds outside. We moved a bit when a couple of smokers came to sit right in front of us in the garden.
The no smoking area at the pool bar is not respected. We saw people smoking there several times.
POOLBAR At the pool bar, the staff (1 guy, 2 if you are lucky) is almost always very, very busy. When you order something, make sure to order everything at once since they are already taking new orders while finishing yours. This took some getting used to. At other hotels we have stayed at, the bar staff usually has time to smalltalk, smile and say hi to the kids. Not here.
ENTERTAINMENT The entertainment in the evening was disappointing compared to what we have experienced at eg. Barut Sorgun. This was low budget. We went to see the show every night and left disappointed after 5-10 minutes every night. Note that there is no evening entertainment on Sundays.
FOOD The buffet is good and beautifully presented. They had a different theme every night. We really enjoyed the food.
We also tried Roka Seafood Restaurant for lunch. We had sushi and it was good.
The Beach Club for lunch was also ok with different options like burgers and fries, pizza, and wraps.
WIFI The Wifi is good in most places we have been around the hotel.
SPA We went to the spa and tried a few things like the package Hera Dream: peeling, foam wash, and massage. It was a nice experience.
FITNESS ROOM The room is the best I have seen at the hotels we have been to. It was air-conditioned and it had everything I needed for a...
