Konak Kayseri Hotel — Hotel in Melikgazi

We were put up here by a Cappadocia tour organizer. It's 70km away from Goreme, the main town in Cappadocia for balloon ride. We reached there after 9 pm. The hotel was horrible, the worst I have ever stayed at. The elevators are not working properly, so climbed 7 stories with languages. There was no food provided (the hotel says its finished! ), while the tour description says dinner and the next day breakfast are included. Room (number 703) was smelly. There was no hot water in the bathroom, no shower gel. On complaining it to the hotel staff, all they gave was shampoo for bath!

We came here by travel agency, Boray tur (main group Tour gross). At the beginning were going to stay in another hotel but at the last minute it changed to this hotel. We just stayed one night as it was part of our trip. For one night night staying there is reasonable but keep your expectations low: bedroom is just okay, old furniture, duty windows and the shower partition was broken. We had a cold dinner and a cold breakfast and the drinking options were limited to Fanta and coca cola.

Good location if visiting Kayseri from the Otogar if you want somewhere to drop your bag and then go in to explore. Tram (Aydinlievler) stops almost outside the door and it’s then four stops to the centre. 1km walk to train station. We had a quiet room at the back.
