Unfortunately a terrible experience.
First room was like a prison cell, walls and floor paint flaking off everywhere. Each room has a thin sheet as a cover, minimal Bedding and horrid pillows with the bathrooms being very basic. I asked to move from road side as it showed a balcony on the picture online.
The reception kindly offered to move me.
Second room was also terrible on the ground floor outside with large fire hydrant in front garden. I kindly accepted it but was looking to move asap.
Offered then a free upgrade to 7th floor, which was very much appreciated and kind. The location was nicer. I was extremely happy with girl at reception who came back to offer me a new room. Until I realised the electricity in the room (701) constantly tripped out when using the aircon unit. Meaning no power sockets or lighting in the bathroom would work.
Informed reception immediately in which they said I probably didn’t have the room card in correct. I believe they then sent someone up, as it worked later on after I had spent the day in the restuarant trying to use my laptop and to charge my phone for work.
Unfortunately I woke up again in middle of night as power was out again and as it was extremely hot. Meaning no power sockets again. Rang down to reception and informed them.
Noise - The room also has an adjoining paper thin door with a large gap underneath. You unfortunately get to listen to your neighbours conversations, alarms and any movements all night due to this. (You’ll see on the video clearly how well you can hear them).
The room also has a sofa inconveniently blocking the entrance, making it difficult to get in as well as added difficulty with a terrible sloped roof, meaning you hit your head when in the bathroom trying to use the toilet or attempting to get to the bed.
The icing on the cake unfortunately was on check out.
On check out the reception then tried to charge me for the upgrade price to room 701 and then when I stated they’d knocked for me to offer it and requested a discount due to the problems with the power not working and noise from next door they argued that I should pay more for the upgrade.
Also stating to me that I had lied about price offered by the dentist package in which I then showed them the email showing a rate of €90. They then still insisted to charge me €95.
The rate online is actually cheaper consistently on third party services at €80 for double and €85 for the suite. Which they’d usually get charged 17% commission on also. (€66-€70 What the rooms are actually worth).
Note also - On arrival the cleaners were attempting to clean the main carpet which left everyone slipping and almost falling when leaving the carpet onto the main floor. I’d suggest a towel at the end…
Restuarant area is nice but that as good as it gets in this hotel. The rest of the hotel looks very similar to a just completed building site with concrete walls and the odd mirror chucked in for some decor.
Numerous other guests were complaining on arrival and when leaving daily.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend staying here location wise or for the price. It has nothing nearby and is on a...
Read moreDisgusting, Racist Abuse from Staff — Management Did NothingI booked a solo trip for 7 nights at this hotel and what was meant to be a relaxing getaway turned into one of the most distressing experiences I’ve ever had while travelling. After receiving consistently poor customer service at the restaurant, I was offered complimentary breakfast for the remainder of my stay. However, due to the unbearable noise levels and continued bad service, I decided to check out early at 5:30am.At check-out, I was told I needed to pay for the breakfasts that had been made complimentary, as no note had been left on the system. When I calmly explained the situation, I was accused of lying. I asked for the manager to be contacted, and once they verified what I was saying, the receptionist responded in the most vile, racist, and aggressive way imaginable — screaming at me:“Get out of my F** country and suck my A** you dirty Arab B.”This unprovoked, disgusting outburst left me in shock and deeply upset. The receptionist immediately tried to apologise, blaming his behaviour on having a bad day, but that in no way an excuse for such revolting and racist abuse.Even worse, when I reported this to the hotel manager, it was clear they didn’t take the incident seriously at all. Despite me having clear video evidence of the full exchange, no meaningful action was taken against the staff member — who was not reprimanded — and I was merely offered a token gesture of €100, which is an insult considering the gravity of what happened.I will be sharing this entire experience, along with the video evidence, across social media platforms to warn others about this hotel and its appalling treatment of guests. No one should have to go through what I did, and the hotel’s complete disregard for guest safety and dignity is unforgivable.Avoid this place...
