The location of the hotel was good; it was within walking distance of the beach (although an added benefit was the shuttle services to the beach club), the malls were also about an hour walk or a short 10-15 min drive, and the hotel was nearby to lots of local restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.
The hotel had amenities like the terrace with a pool, a gym, and spa. The terrace on the third floor had lounger chairs which you could sunbathe on, and a small pool for those wishing to swim. The on-site gym was well-equipped with a good selection of different machines, but didn't have many heavy free-weights, although it was sufficient to workout in and was nice & quiet. I was super excited to see the hotel spa, which looked great - but the prices had recently been changed from Turkish Lira which was very affordable, to USD which made the prices considerably more expensive, and almost on-par with London prices of massages. Excursions could also be booked from the hotel reception, which was convenient - but these were a little more expensive (€5-10 extra pp) than local offerings to the same destinations.
The room was nice - the size was a little small, but the bed was comfortable, the shower was large with good water pressure and helpful extras (the bathroom was stocked up with Dove handwash, shampoo & body lotion - this was a really nice touch!), and it had a good sized balcony with a nice view. The hotel staff were very nice, helpful and courteous throughout our stay, and the WiFi was very good.
We opted for a room with the breakfast buffet included. The food however, wasn't great - not very tasty. Very basic options like fried eggs, and folded omelettes, in addition to some bread/rolls, and fruit - but it was average at best. We even missed it on a couple of mornings, as it got repetitive having the same food every day for a week. It was good to be able to take bottled water, which they were very generous with, and this saved us having to go out and buy some, to stay hydrated in the hot weather. We ordered room service a couple of times, and were impressed with the taste of the food and the portion sizes. Although it was more expensive than going out locally, it was worth it for the convenience. It was also nice that there was a Starbucks within the hotel.. although it was a little pricey, and they only offerred a limited menu and small drink sizes.
Overall we had a nice stay. For the price, and location, I'd recommend this hotel if you're...

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Antalya was a pleasant experience. The hotel offers a good blend of comfort and convenience, making it a solid choice for travelers looking for a reliable place to stay in Antalya.
Ambiance and Decor: The hotel's decor is modern and clean, with a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, featuring all the standard amenities you'd expect from a Holiday Inn. While the decor is not particularly unique, it is comfortable and functional.
Amenities: Holiday Inn Antalya provides a range of amenities to enhance your stay. The fitness center is well-equipped, and the outdoor pool area is a nice spot to relax. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of dishes, with breakfast offering a good selection of options. However, the dining experience could benefit from a bit more variety and local flavor.
Staff and Service: The staff at Holiday Inn Antalya are friendly and professional. They are always willing to help and address any concerns promptly. While the service was generally good, it occasionally felt a bit impersonal compared to more boutique-style hotels. Special mention goes to the housekeeping team for keeping the rooms spotless and well-stocked.
Location: The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to Antalya's main attractions and the airport. It's a short drive to the beach and the city center, making it a practical base for exploring the area. However, the immediate surroundings of the hotel are fairly nondescript, so you might need to travel a bit to find more vibrant local spots.
Conclusion: Overall, Holiday Inn Antalya provides a comfortable and reliable stay with all the essential amenities. While it doesn't offer a particularly unique or luxurious experience, it is a solid option for travelers looking for convenience and comfort. With a few enhancements in the dining experience and a bit more personalized service, it could easily elevate its offering.
We had a pleasant stay and would recommend Holiday Inn Antalya for those seeking a dependable and comfortable...
Read moreFirst of all: even if the hotel's description says it is a 5 star hotel - it is not. We were in Greece 1 month before our stay in a 3 star hotel and the rooms, food and service were not comparable at all. The hotel in Greece won by far in each category.
The rooms are old. The door to the bathroom makes a loud noise each time you close or open the door. We wanted to change rooms due to this and have been offered another room but there was no point in changing because the other room had the same problem.
A lot of Chinese tourists who arrive in large groups. Nothing against Chinese people, but they cross the dining area when they arrive in the evening and we felt kind of uncomfortable due to this since we felt disturbed having our dinner (noise, large groups walking through the restaurant, large group coming from nowhere to have dinner in the restaurant).
The restaurant is inside. To be honest we prefer to have breakfast and dinner outside to have some sun / view on the ocean. This was not possible here.
Service: we sent 2 emails a couple days in advance of our stay in order to arrange transfer, etc. None of them have ever been replied.
The beach is ok but nothing spectacular. The service with the umbrellas at the beach was disappointing on the first day since the employee didn't want to assist us and install the umbrellas.
Location: luckily we have booked breakfast and dinner since in the area are not that many restaurants meeting our criteria.
Food quality and variety: ok, but food repeats always and it kind of gets boring. We felt like we would like to eat more Turkish dishes instead of international/ Western cuisine.
Overall: the price / value ratio is not the best for this hotel. I think you can get better quality for your money.
Someone wrote in the reviews 2-3y ago he can't understand how this hotel is not a 5 star hotel but a 4 star hotel. To be honest this is far from the truth. I don't know where this person usually spends his vacations but this is no way a 5 star hotel. This is a maximum of 2-3 stars...
