I recently stayed in Awen Lara hotel from 31st August to 6th September 2025, I arrived around 10.30 pm, my bathroom had a ceiling leak which they obviously knew about prior to my arrival as it was dripping with water on the floor, a few brown patches on the ceiling plus drips of water running down the bathroom door once it was open! Apparently a jacuzzi was leaking again they obviously knew this before putting me in room 510. I told reception straight away I was told it would be dealt with the next day, 1st September, didn’t offer me another room as it will be sorted, next day arrived I was out of my room most of the day but no one had been in as apparently I didn’t give permission for anyone to enter my room! This is a total LIE from a manager called MART! Again I complained to reception and was told it will be sorted the next day, this went on for a further 3 days where no one entered my room to fix this problem. On Friday 5th September I was then told at reception it’s not a quick fix due the nature of the leak, it was at this time I could change my room Really! This made me angry as they had left it until the day before I checked out to tell me I can change my room! I was having to ask daily what’s happening about my room no one approached me, obviously I didn’t want to change rooms on the 5th day when I was leaving the next day, all they offered me was a late check out as I was being picked up at 5 pm to head to the Airport, I asked several times for some kind of refund but was told that wasn’t an option and that I would need to take my complaint to Booking.Com which I was in contact with while I was at the Awen. Booking.Com told me it’s the hotels policy to to sort out! I’m writing this review as I paid £545 for 6 days which is expensive compared to other hotels I was looking at, I’ve been lied too by managers and the hotel staff telling me on arrival that the water leak will be fixed right away 😡 I’d never go back to this hotel or recommend it, also the Breakfast was mostly for Mediterranean’s cold meats salads and olives wasn’t what I wanted for breakfast. Not even a toaster only a sandwich maker! Also a few lads were were drinking heavily in the hotel which led to them shouting and yelling at each other, the police turned up! As you can imagine not the holiday I expected. Poor customer service from the Awen Lara in Antalya, all I wanted was some kind of refund for the rubbish stay I...

We spent six wonderful nights at the Awen Lara Hotel, and we simply don’t know where to start! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome, and it set the tone for our entire stay. We were greeted poolside with a fresh fruit platter, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every single staff member had a warm smile, knew our names, and was always ready to assist us with anything we needed.
A special shout-out to Yahya and Karina – they truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Not only did they answer all of our questions, but they also brought a sense of joy and energy that made every interaction with them enjoyable. Their warmth and kindness made us feel like part of the family, not just guests.
The pool and spa area is absolutely stunning! We treated ourselves to the VIP spa package, and it was worth every moment. The massage was on point, and the newly renovated spa is like stepping into an oasis of calm and relaxation. Everything was beautifully designed to make you feel at peace.
Our room was spotless every day, and we always had everything we needed. The housekeeping team was not only efficient but also so kind and considerate – their little gestures made us smile every day.
And let’s talk about the breakfast – it was a highlight! Delicious, fresh, and with so many options. We couldn’t get enough!
We can’t wait to come back, and we’re already counting down the days until we can visit again. Thank you to everyone at Awen Lara for making our stay so incredibly special. You truly are amazing, and we will treasure the memories we made with you.
With love and gratitude, Alex...
Read moreRooms are good size and looked recently refurbished and fresh. The first impression of the hotel was better than the actual experience. Our shower stall had a plugged drain that filled with water ankle deep. The shampoo and gel containers were empty. Not a drop left. Breakfast buffet was ok, but the bread was stale. Pool looked good, but was in the shade all day - sun only in early mornings. Staff at reception was not very helpful. All but one staff member answered questions and provided directions upon request. When asked if they had laundry service the answer was “no, but you can Google to find one nearby”. Why couldn’t they mention that there was one nearby? When we asked about the beach, the answer was “it’s just 5 minutes from here. You can walk”. They failed to explain there was a specific area on the beach we had to use, and did not give instructions how to get there (it’s actually a 15 min walk, not 5). Due to large hotels on the beachfront which block access to the beach we initially walked to the “wrong side of the beach” (as per Google which they told us to use to find the way) and had to backtrack around the large hotels - a 20 minute backtrack. It would have been courteous and expected that staff provide clear instructions about this. There was cigarette litter in one of the elevators which remained there during all 3 days of our stay. We arrived on a Saturday and found that our room had not been serviced the next day. Staff failed to inform us that there would be no room service on Sundays. Overall, we had a frustrating and unpleasant stay which could have been much improved with better...
