We left Istanbul to spend just one night at MFB My Finest Bosphorus Hotel. We had been invited to a Wedding to be held at nearby Izoletta – a magical, rural, wedding venue. ||We booked a Special Deluxe Room with Bosphorus view, wanting to stay in the same hotel as the wedding party. ||This charming “olde worlde” hotel stood just over the road from that great restless swell of water that is the Bosphorus.||Our elegant room was number 106 and on the corner with a slender balcony and a great view. I am guessing that 106, 206 and 306 were the best rooms along with the three front facing rooms in the same category situated at the opposite corner of the building.||In fairness, we arrived late at the hotel and had to hurry to get ready for the wedding and the next morning we had a taxi booked to take us back to Istanbul so that does impact on the review. ||We did not really have time to relish our environment. I cannot say whether the hotel is or is not well-located as we were not there long enough to make this assessment.||The bedroom was spacious with a large bathroom and we had a lovely breakfast of good coffee, fresh fruit and sweet rolls before we left, sitting out front enjoying the sunshine, the breeze and the waves.||This is an old-fashioned hotel but with appealing faded glory and an air of nobility.

This charming “olde worlde” hotel stood just over the road from that great restless swell of water that is the Bosphorus.

Our elegant room was number 106 and on the corner with a slender balcony and a great view. I am guessing that 106, 206 and 306 were the best rooms along with the three front facing rooms in the same category situated at the opposite corner of the building.

In fairness, we arrived late at the hotel and had to hurry to get ready for the wedding and the next morning we had a taxi booked to take us back to Istanbul so that does impact on the review.

We did not really have time to relish our environment. I cannot say whether the hotel is or is not well-located as we were not there long enough to make this assessment.

The bedroom was spacious with a large bathroom and we had a lovely breakfast of good coffee, fresh fruit and sweet rolls before we left, sitting out front enjoying the sunshine, the breeze and the waves.

This is an old-fashioned hotel but with appealing faded glory and an air of nobility. The staff grappled with English at times but really, truly tried to be helpful.

Perhaps the feeling of being off the usual tourist grid added to the piquancy of the setting. If the excitement of travel is about the “otherness” of places and bases then this is a gracious if rather...

I share my personal experience with this hotel. The room I booked, a deluxe Bosphorus view room, is not the one in the photos, which are misleading. The balcony is bigger in the photos, plus there is a lot of noise coming from outside. Second, I complained about the light display outside for "do not disturb" which does not work and they did nothing, so 3 cleaning ladies knocked on the door for cleaning and woke me up 3 times, and it's crap. I don't understand why they don't put the cardboard sign on the door so as not to disturb the customers. Third, they told me that breakfast is at 7 a.m. even though I arrive at 7 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. and there is nothing on the buffet, plus it is very expensive at €20 or €25, whereas in the hotel next door it is €10 more in a magnificent restaurant with a view of the Bosphorus. In addition, in this hotel there is no swimming pool and no transfer to swim!!!! Conclusion: very bad experience...

You have to be married to stay here if you are a Turkish citizen. They said they don’t have ‘proof’ for my marriage as we don’t have the same surname. They allowed us to stay only because that I carry a European citizenship in additional to Turkish. What a double standard! In addition to that, the breakfast was expensive, horrible. lettuces were dead and vegetables tasted so bad that we had to send the plate back. Would never come back here again. There are many other alternatives in Tarabya that you get better value for your money.

If you wish to stay on the coast of Bosphorus and would like a quieter area this is the place for you. It has amazing view of the Bosphorus straight and overlooks the third bridge after which the straight opens to the Black sea. Bear in mind this is a boutique hotel, not many amenities, not many rooms either so book in advance. The design is classical yet newly furbished, very neat and clean. The staff are nice. The only downside for me was the breakfast yet I still give 5 stars to the cleanliness, internal design and the views.

MFB Tarabya Hotel is a boutique hotel which provides excellent quality and friendly service. It's a great place to live in the Istanbul as it's faces Bosphorus Strait and has a serene surroundings which provides a memorable walk on the promenade. The view is spectacular, environment is safe and there are plenty of places to eat or just chill. The hotel staff are very hospitable. Rooms are top class, comfortable and clean. Food is good. A highly recommended place to stay.
