This hotel does have a potential and no doubt a lot of ambition. It has beautiful well groomed territory, daily life music, nice spa, and in general eye pleasing. Feeling like there are some bright ideas but poor execution. This is the reason it cannot compete with other high end hotels in Antalya. Luxury resort simply cannot have such a poor level of service. Main buffet restaurant -a disaster. They don’t pay attention, don’t serve you drinks, don’t clean tables, don’t bring high chair unless you ask 5 times or raise your voice. One waiter in la Sofa restaurant spilled heavily tomato sauce from kebab on myself and my spouse and didn’t even apologize. Bell boys who are always in the entrance don’t greet you - instead they look away when they see you. Kids club- yes it s aesthetically pleasing. Nevertheless - there is no staff to keep kids engaged. Also I felt there is a poor hygiene, for example toys are not disinfected in a room for smaller kids. My daughter caught Coxsackie virus there. Overall feeling, there is no staff supervision, no protocol and most importantly - no standard of service. Staff are doing whatever they like. Of course, there are some good people like everywhere (lake house pool bar team, la perla restaurant) but there not many of them Grocery shops in the hotel- another scam. They sell items times 6 retail price. A pack of paracetamol- 13 euros (3 euros in the pharmacy in Belek), aloe gel- 40 euros (which you can get for 5 normally)… During our stay there was an olive fest festival but those who benefited were not the guests of the hotel- for this purpose a la carte restaurants la perla and la sofa were not available for the guests for several nights as there were special events exclusively organized for bloggers and journalists at the expense of guests- and this inconvenience was not even communicated in advance to hotel guests. My mother had to stay one more night in the hotel as her flight was rescheduled and we booked her one more night in Ela. My mother is over 65, she has arthritis and difficulty to walk. Guess what? The room that was allocated to her was accessible via stairs only. And not only this- the room was just in front on the restaurant la Salsa- where there was TEB (Turkish branch of BNP Paribas banking group) corporate event hosted and there was loud music until midnight. So my mother couldn’t have rest before taking her morning flight. Reservation team- another topic. Feels like they make up prices from the air. No transparency. Alyona who we booked initially our trip with and who we requested to add one more night for my mother came up with completely unrealistic offer of 700 euros per night for a room for one person in the month of October!!!. Additionally, when we were booking our stay with Alyona she advised we were to have a complimentary private transfer from/ to the airport. Our family was flying with two different flights so they refused to provide the second complimentary transfer insisting only one transfer is included. This gesture looked so lame, inflexible and cheap especially given we booked 14 nights stay, spent 5 digit number with the hotel - and most importantly the cost for the hotel would be nearly zero as they have their own transportation at place. Can you really call yourself as an ultra luxury hotel if you try to squeeze your guests on some small things like this?
Next - a la carte restaurants. When booking our stay we were told there re a la carte restaurants that are included. We went to a la carte restaurants 3 times and it turned out this is the maximum allowance for our stay if we wanted to book more - this is more extra cost. 3 TIMES for 14 NIGHTS STAY!!! Conclusion- at this point I cannot recommend this hotel especially for the price we paid. We went to Regnum Carya last year paying not that much more and the difference was huge. Professional, trained personnel, nobody tries to squeeze you on booking a la carte restaurant or charge you extra for a transfer, we had even meet and assist and cip lounge in the...
Read moreWell, what can I say to really sum up our holiday, this was so 'Everything and more' than we expected. It was the absolute BEST. We flew in from Antalya Airport and had pre-booked a private transfer to Ela through our travel company, Tui, I would do this everytime as the flights from UK to Turkey are usually quite late. Some of the coaches took quite a while to arrive. On arrival we were ushered to the most beautiful reception area and brought drinks of our preference. We were given our room key cards and I was given my own personal allergen card to use at any food area. We were then shown to our room. We had a garden view balcony room. We had an extra bed made up for our 10 year old daughter which was amazing. The beds were so big however my husband and I only needed 1 of the doubles which they were in the room as twins and our daughter had the other. She was very impressed by this. The views from the balcony were serene. Mountains shrouded by mist and gorgeous gardens. Due to the later hour of our arrival we ordered room service which was good. It was 15-20 mins on arrival.
On our first day we got our bearings and went to explore all of the areas within Ela. Our 10 year old was desperate to explore kids club so we went over. We were greeted by huge smiles and were impressed from first glance of the secure systems to keep our daughter safe. We signed our daughter into the kids club. you sign up with personal details and room number. Your child will then receive a wristband which once the child moves past the alarm system near the entrance/exit it will trigger rapidly. This wristband cannot be removed without the specialist equipment used in the kids club. Everytime you book your child in you will be asked for your room number and the child will be given a lanyard and a security bracelet. There are different activities at different times and on different days. Tilly really enjoyed taking part in the 'Talent Show' which was a special show. All of the children got their moment. There are shows, discos, themed nights and creative activities. The kids club has a huge creative area, lego room, baby room, indoor soft play area, outdoor playground. All areas are kept scrupulously clean and clear. Even though it's clear to see kids playing and enjoying themselves there was always clear walk ways. The kids club practitioners were always professional, happy and in appropriate uniform. They were able to approach every child with a caring attitude and the relevant language to the individual. The whole club radiated care, love and comfort. We felt totally at ease leaving Tilly and all she wanted was to explore what was happening next. We felt very impressed and extremely happy with every part of 'Everland' The pools were always extremely clean, kept clear and extremely fun. Lush to cool down in after a long hot session of sunbathing. There are 3 pools to choose from, the children's/ Toddlers area, the Olympic pool and then the main pool near the splash slides. It is the case of get out earlier if you want a sunbed right up to the pool. We weren't that worried about the specific spot. Get your pool towel laundered and fresh from 3 various points around the pool areas. Return them once finished with. The waiters and waitresses were very quick to keep you topped up with drinks around the pool area. Whatever your preference, they also bring you crisps, nuts, ice creams.
Just over from the pool area is the equivalent of a centre, you can purchase any inflatables, toys, snacks or suncream etc. There is also a gorgeous fruit bar, where you can find melon, grapes, coconut, pineapple, bananas, kiwi, strawberries, apples and various other fruits chopped in bowls or tubs to take to your sunbed, or, back to your room. There is also a photography shop within the centre where photographs taken on Ela can be purchased. We had photos taken with a beautiful Parrot and choose which ones we wanted, these were printed for us...
Read moreThe hotel is a really cute place for Families. I think a bit less for couples. Ill give you the good and the bad.
The pool is nice and big. No indoor pool. The beach is nice there is a small pier for the hotel. There is evening shoes on 5 days of the week that are mainly dancers doing dances. And then 2 partys. Where they bring live band to play instead of the show. The food is good there is not allot to select but what they have is decent and good.
my wife is a vegan so they didnt had allot to offer her but they did try to cook for her something every day. Some stuff are extra...
like all the resturants other then the main food hall charged at 10 euro per person. And then one resturant is pay per dish and then in theese resturants you have extra dishes if you wish them like big shrimps...lobster...special dishes...etc..that cost money.
For example I got a lobster for 110 euro .it was very good.
The hotel has a nice good pool ... it has 2 small slides... evening shows are cute... and allot of stuff to occupy the kids... but this is a very very very family oriented hotel and aim to be very calm place.
I mean you go to breakfast 8-10 then you go to the pool or beach. There is some activity that the animation team will do at the pool at around 11 am ...then you go eat at 12 or 13... then amm you kinda stuck at nothing to do . If your a family you would go to the room ... and rest or sometimes 2 days a week u can either go to a foam party 1 day or to see some guy on a jet ski doing flips in the pool...
But then until dinner at 7 ... you don't really have much to do. You have a bar with pool tables... and a bowling ally that cost 5 euro per person per game to play. But i mean ... that's kinda what u can do ... Then dinner at around 7:30 .. then room again ... then the evening show Or the movie they have a movie theatre showing movies at 9:30. So amm yea.
To sumeries The good: You know exactly what your getting in the hotel no surprises.
Very friendly staff.
The animation team is very friendly people
The hotel has a small cinema which is cool.
The staff really would do everything they can to make you happy !
The bad:
Well i hear allot of family complain about the animation team interacting too much with the people so now the animation team is not alowd to interact so much like before with the guests. Like in party's they cannot take people to dance... or they cannot come and take someone to be in an activity... that's maybe ok for family's but for a young couple its not good at all .
I had a personal problem with a romantic evening that i peid 200 euro to arrange a private dinner at the pier and they promised me it will be closed. But it wasn't close. and allot of people came to the pier and later when i complain. They said they cannot tell the people to go away.... so that wad verry annoying. Adleast they could give me some of the money or do something else.
The evening show start at 9:30 and the movie at cinema start at 9:30 so you need to choose one. i would assume they could change the cinema to around 20.. or to do another screening at 23
This hotel is 99% familys. Plus or minus up to you.
There was a salsa night party. And me as a salsa dancer got very excited about. But in the show itself there was no one dancing on the floor besides 4 kids... the band dancer. And 3 of the animation team members. Again they couldn't take anyone from the crowd because i hear they are not allowed. And since most are family's no one in the crowed went to dance.. i guess they should have the dancer teaching people how to actually dance salsa... even basic step... that is how a salsa party should be.. I would even teach everyone for free if they asked me.
They should also have more variety for vegetarian people in the dining hall .allot of vegetarian in the world today.
I would suggest to have more interacting activities in the 15-19 range. Like games and contests and maybe pool Olympics.. something more engaging then...
