The Osmanli Marco Pasha Hotel in Tarsus is a true hidden gem. Nestled in the heart of the city, it is set in a beautifully restored Ottoman mansion complete with a courtyard and garden, offering a serene retreat from the bustling streets outside. The peaceful atmosphere is only occasionally interrupted by the cooing of local pigeons, adding a touch of rustic charm to the experience. The hotel's host is a quiet and gracious gentleman who has lovingly preserved the historic integrity of the building while incorporating a stylish blend of shabby chic decor. The garden is an oasis filled with mature fruit trees including orange, lime, and olive, along with whimsical decorations that add to the tranquil vibe. Guests can enjoy seating in the courtyard, with metal chairs and glass topped artificial stone tables providing a comfortable spot to relax in the evening and enjoy the lovingly prepared Turkish breakfast. Although the bar has limited stock, the attentive host is happy to replenish supplies when needed. While there isn't an in-house restaurant, the surrounding area offers a variety of local eateries, serving kebabs, hummus, and soup just a short walk away. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and though the beds might feel a bit firm, they are still comfortable. One minor downside is the balcony, which could benefit from better cleaning due to the presence of pigeons, but this doesn’t detract from the overall charm of the hotel. Historic buildings abound in Tarsus, and they are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. Take advantage of the courtyard carpark, and set out on a journey of historic enlightenment. Arkadaşlar şimdi size otel ile alakalı detaylı bir şekilde yorumlarımı paylaşacağım konaklayacak arkadaşların okumasını dikkate almasını şiddetle tavsiye ederim. Görünüş olarak evet otantik bir ortama sahip fakat tek artısı bu diyebilirim. Gece saatlerinde odama giriş yaptım fakat odaya girdiğimde bir şok ile karşılaştım. Çok susamıştım minibarı açtım içerisi pisti ve içerisinde hiç bir şey yoktu benim bildiğim minibarda mutlaka su ve soda bulunur gecenin bir vakti su bulabileceğim yakınlarda yer yoktu otel görevlisinden rica ettim iki adet su verdi daha üzerine soda istiyor musunuz diye soruyor. Neyse daha sonra duş almak istedim otelin sabunu duş jeli vs kutusunun üstü beyaz beyaz tahminimce daha önce kullanılmış yarım sabunları koymuşlar. Klozetin kapağında temizlendiğine dair bi yapıştırma oluyor klozet iyi temizlenmiş dedim kapağı kaldırdım klozetin kapağında idrar lekeleri vardı. Daha sonrasında çarşaf temizdi fakat yastıkta lekeler mevcuttu. İlk kaldığım gece otel içerisinde birileri arasında tartışma ardından sabah gözümü yine kavga gürültü ile açtım biraz kulak verdiğimde ise karı koca birbirine girmiş kadın otelde kalmak istemediğini polisi araması için bağırıp çağırıyordu. Otelde tüm temel başlar eksik ve harabe bir yer. Kapıları oldukça uyduruk bir kapı içerisinde değerli eşyalarımı bırakamadım yanımda götürdüm ve o kadar huzursuzdum ki ne can ne mal güvenliğim vardı. Otelin çevresine bakıldığında sıkıntılı enteresan tiplerden oluşuyordu. Kahvaltısı ise bir tabağa domates ve salatalık dilimlenmiş biraz zeytin ve bir dilim peynir yanında iki yumurta büyük bardak çay küçük paketlerde 2 3 reçel 1 adette bal verildi. İçersinde ki eşyalara bakıldığında da üzerleri toz bulutuydu. 2 gece geçirdim ama siz bir de bana sorun bir okadar huzursuz mutsuzdum tavsiye...

DO NOT STAY IF A SINGLE WOMAN! I stayed four nights, in the evening the hotel owner came and repeatedly made passes at me while drunk and suggested that he was going to come to my room at night. For fear of my safety i left, I asked for my money for that night but was not given any sort of remuneration. I would not stay or suggest any people support this business.
