One On Marlin
Providenciales Birthday Dream Come True June 2023 A Dreamlike Birthday Getaway at One on Marlin, Turks and Caicos
It's not often that one comes across a place that captures the imagination and stirs the soul as the One on Marlin did during my recent 40th birthday celebration. To say my experience was extraordinary would be an understatement. This boutique hotel tucked away in the idyllic landscape of Turks and Caicos is an oasis of tranquility, where service excellence meets breathtaking beauty to create a truly unforgettable experience.
My stay in a tastefully appointed suite was nothing short of luxurious. Thoughtfully designed, the suite came fully equipped with modern amenities such as a refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher, encapsulating the feeling of a home away from home. The hotel's thoughtful touch of providing a phone for local calls further exemplified their attention to detail and commitment to making our stay as comfortable and seamless as possible.
While the physical elements of One on Marlin provided an intimate setting for a relaxed, intimate birthday celebration, what set this hotel apart was its five-star customer service. The staff's commitment to delivering personalized experiences was embodied by the wonderful Suzanna Song, their administrative assistant.
Suzanna was a beacon of warmth and professionalism throughout our stay. Her extensive knowledge of the property and the island was incredibly helpful, and she went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. The joyous surprise of finding our room adorned with birthday decorations, all carefully arranged by Suzanna, was a beautiful moment that elevated my birthday to a whole new level of special.
Celebrating a milestone birthday alongside my boyfriend, who shares the same birthday, was an incredible experience, made all the more memorable by our first visit to Turks and Caicos. One on Marlin's secluded and serene atmosphere made it the perfect backdrop for quality time spent with a loved one.
Surrounded by a profusion of vibrant plants and fragrant flowers, we found ourselves in an Eden-like sanctuary, a haven that effortlessly blends natural beauty with architectural elegance. Each day was a celebration of life, love, and the joy of being in such a stunning location.
Thank you, Suzanna Song, and the team at One on Marlin for making our birthdays unforgettable. The memories crafted during this trip will remain etched in our hearts, serving as a constant reminder of a destination that not only promises an exclusive getaway but delivers a uniquely personal experience that transcends the norm
If you're looking for a beautiful, remote, and memorable vacation, One on Marlin in Turks and Caicos comes highly recommended. The exceptional hospitality, the serene atmosphere, and the phenomenal staff, especially the unforgettable Suzanna, make it a place that truly feels like paradise on earth.

Read moreWhen we were looking at places to stay in Turks and Caicos, I wanted a place that was pleasant, spacious and relaxing and this place was it. It's definitely secluded compared to the resorts on the beach and it was quiet, which is a big plus.
Chris greeted us when we got there and showed us a map and pointed out the most popular restaurants (Bugaloos, Hemmingway, Da Conch Shack), beaches (Grace Bay and Long Bay Beach are the closest) and events that were happening that week (Thursdays is always Fish Fry night at The Bight Park, which is like a gathering of food trucks with live music). He also provided beach towels, which I will remember next time when I stay so I can pack less. He also provided us with a cell phone with his number and our butler's number programmed in there just in case if we needed to reach them.
The villa itself was very clean and there were a lot of amenities included like pots and pans, utensils, plates and bowls, extra kitchen tools, an electric stove along with a cutting board. The bed was comfy, not too soft, but not too hard, so on the medium side and the bathroom had a rainfall shower head. Also included which was great was an Apple TV, which I was able to unwind with a movie on Netflix (of course you would need to log in with your own info so don't forget to log out at the end of your stay) at the end of the night.
The location of the villa is ideally located almost central to all the beaches and restaurants you want to go to, however I would recommend to rent a car (reservations for car rental is highly recommended as they run out of available cars fast) because the shuttle is very limited to the sister resort and Grace Bay Beach. Of course if you do rent a car, please remember that everyone drives on the left side of the road and there are no traffic lights/signals, instead it's all roundabouts, which can get tricky, but after the first day I was able to drive around without any issues.
Because One on Marlin is a sister resort within a network of hotels, there's a spot on the beach near Bight Park (on google maps it's Alive and Well Resorts Beach Club) that already had lounge chairs and umbrellas set up for you to use. It's a nice spot at the end of the line of resorts to relax at and Osner, our butler there was very nice and assisted us with our needs, including arranging our water paragliding, providing paddle boards for Stand up paddle boarding and even had aloe spray on hand if you needed it.
Overall my experience here has been great! Chris was super accommodating and was always welcoming when we had questions. The check in was easy and checking out was a breeze. Between the amenities, location and the villa, I really enjoyed my time at Turks and Caicos and would definitely be staying here again when I return for another trip.
P.S. Another tip would be heading over to Grace Way IGA Supermarket to purchase the gallon water as the tap water might not...
