I normally do not book hotels which have no reviews but this in this case I did and wish I had not! Not sure where to start...||||Upon my arrival the receptionist was laying on the sofa in the lobby watching loud TV on her laptop. She did not speak a word of English so it was very difficult to communicate with her. No WI-FI in the hotel, very old and dirty hotel, the sink was leaking in the bathroom so the floor was wet, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no fridge or safe box in the room. The pillow cases were too small for the pillows, the curtains in the room were too long so hanging on the floor. The toilet flush was broken, no hangers in the closet and one side of the closet was locked. Noisy neighbours outside the hotel, small old TV with no international channels, the shower was broken and could not be used. The bed mosquito net had holes, the hotel has a bar which was noisy with locals who did not stay at the hotel. Loud TV in the lobby area (staff watching it). I was the only guest in the hotel so the staff locked all the doors and main gate and put a padlock on the main door and left! The power was out for 15 hours!!!! At 11:00 PM I went to the lobby to ask the staff to fix the banging metal gate outside my room. The staff members were 2 young girls (not very comforting) and they were both sleeping on the sofas so I had to wake them up. They were unable to fix the gate because there was no power and it was so dark outside. However, they told me they had fixed it. When I went back to my room I realized the gate had not been fixed so when I returned to the lobby at 11:30 PM the staff members had left and I was all by myself in the hotel. No guard, no guests, no staff. All the windows, gates and doors had bars on and there was a big pad lock on the main door so I was basically locked inside the hotel all by myself and there was no power in the hotel or in the village. There was a prison on the same street as the hotel. Not very comforting! If there had been an emergency or a fire I would not have been able to escape from there or get any help because I was all by myself. The security guard did not show up until 6:15 AM and the receptionist at 7:00 AM. No security all night and no staff. The hotel only accepts credit cards prior to arriving. There is no c/c machine at the hotel. I would never stay here again and ran out of there the next morning. When I mentioned the padlock issue to the guard, he said I would just have asked the staff for the key for the padlock. I did not know I was locked in until the staff had already left just...
