Wonderful hotel by both Ukrainian and Western standards. Impeccable staff in all hotel departments. To a person, everyone I dealt with in my 4-day stay was efficient, polite and conscientious. A special callout to Concierge ‘Alexander’ who is the epitome of customer service. Service in any of the on-site restaurants is excellent, although the pacing of meals in the Terrace Lounge/Restaurant was a bit slow. Rooms are comfortable, good sized, and exceptionally clean. Bathrooms had plenty of amenities and were also well maintained and clean (although the plumbing in my shower was being cranky). In fact, the entire property, inside and outside, seemed immaculately clean at all times. For me being a smoker was the extra convenience of an in-hotel (but very separate) smoking lounge. Located in an isolated corner of the building with it’s own filtration system, the lounge is complete with leather chairs, wood paneling, magazines, and so on. Very comfortable and cleaned hourly and a really nice convenience since the rest of the hotel is a non-smoking property. US hotels who excel at making a smoker feel unwelcome, can learn something from this arrangement. Food at all the restaurants was excellent and priced fairly, The morning breakfast buffet for hotel guests had a wide range of offerings. Airport transfers are available, affordable, and efficiently arranged. I did not visit the Spa and pool, but locals all told me that it has an excellent reputation. Will stay here again in the future if ever...
Read moreI recently spent 7 days in this hotel. I can only say that the entire experience was absolutely wonderful!!! The service is impeccable, the hotel itself is gorgeous. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay the most comfortable it can possibly be. The food is excellent! I used every service, from laundry, to the fitness center, the salon, room service, etc. and can say the service is consistent throughout. I recommend this hotel highly, the standards are held much higher than in most hotels I have stayed. I would like to thank a few staff members for their amazing service and kindness. To Alina, and Alina, and Natalia at Reception, to Artur the Bell Boy and Andrey the Concierge, I thank all of you and look forward to spending time again soon in your hotel. And I would like to also add, that Kharkiv is a beautiful city with friendly, magnificent people, and again look forward to...
Read moreRight next to the park and view over the UNESCO world heritage listed university the situation of the hotel is excellent||||Check in is very smooth and the rooms have a great view over the city. The interior is modern, still include a tub||||Only place that could do a bit better is the breakfast. Only 1-2 staff present speak English, the rest just says yes and your orders are not given to the kitchen. There is an open kitchen where egg dishes are made, but the person standing for it often is elsewhere. Not sure if it's because they try to safe money but guests have to make their own coffee from a similar mashines you finde at a 3* hotel, but if you catch the English speaking waiter you can get a real handmade cappuccino. They have sausage and bacon, but no scrambled eggs and the cook doesn't know what it is. So for a 5* hotel expect a 3* hotel...
