Letuchiy Gollandets — Hotel in Uzhhorod Urban Hromada

Letuchiy Gollandets (Flying Dutchman) hotel is relatively small (7 rooms only). It is located almost in the heart of Uzhgorod, and its general atmosphere is cozy and friendly. There were only three people of hotel staff whom I saw during the whole period. I highly appreciated their hospitality, friendliness and readiness to help and to give an advice. Rooms are well-furnished and equipped with air conditioners and refrigerators: in my case, it was especially important, since outdoor temperature during my stay was +28o - +34o C. Breakfast is served in a spacious room decorated with a model of a medieval ship flying on a zeppelin (symbolizing Flying Dutchman). Guests are requested to say what breakfast time will be most convenient for them, and breakfast menu is different every day. Unfortunately, the pandemic affected tourism sphere in general and this hotel in particular: there were not so many gusts when I stayed there. Byli jsme překvapeni velikostí pokoje č. 5. kdy jsme mali malý obývák a samostanou ložnici. Velmi hezky zařízené a čísté. Vše v dosahu, obchody, restaurace, bary i zábava. We were surprised by the size of the room No. 5 - we had a small living room and a separate bedroom. Very nicely decorated and clean. All within walking destance- shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment. ||||nás nemile překvapilo, že snídaně se podává pouze od 8mi ráno. Přehodnotili jsme svůj plán cesty a domluvili si snídani na pozdějsí hodinu cca na 9 hodinu. v 8:30 jsme dostali budíček telefonem, že snídaně je již nachystaná! Snídaně byla velmi skromná, omeleta, 1/2 rajčete a koukek okurky - poute malý čaj. Požádali jsme o džbán vody, což byl ze začátku probém, ale nakonec se podařilo domluvit. Džus není možné objednat ani dostat. Káva bohužel za příplatek a na objednváku - 4* hotel??? Při odhlašování z hotelu jsme byli obviněni, že jsem kouřili v pokoji (což je absurdní) a z druhého pokoje, že jsme si vzali vody, také nebyla pravda, neboť voda v lednici ani nebyla. Po tomto obvinění a celkem razantním chování se pán uklidnil a řekl pouze ok. Nevím, jeslti toto byla zkouška, a vymámení peněz z hostů, ale takto si 4* hotelu personál nepředstavuji! We were very surprised that breakfast was only served from 8a.m. We re-evaluated our travel plan and arranged breakfast for later then at 9 o'clock. At 8:30 we got a wake-up call saying that breakfast is already ready!? The breakfast was very limited - 1 omelette, 1/2 tomato and cucumber, bit of salami and cheese - small tea. We asked for a jar of water, which was a problem at first time, but eventually we managed to recieced it. You can not order or get juice - immposible Coffee unfortunately for an extra charge and for an order - 4 * hotel ??? When we left the hotel, we were accused of smoking in the room (which is absurd), and the second room that we took 2 bottles of water and it was also not true, because the water was not even in the fridge. After this strenuous behavior of the recepiton person, the lord calmed down and said only ok. I do not know if this was a test, of they want to charge extra money from us? but this way is not represented the 4 *...

My wife and I have just stayed here...a short stopover. We were so impressed with the charm, warmth and immaculate cleanliness, as well as the excellent service. This is a lovely European style hotel that I would highly recommend. We had a wonderful breakfast (included) that was specially prepared for us, even though we had originally declined because we had arrived so late last night and knew we would miss the breakfast “times”. I would definitely...
