When booking this hotel, I noticed the majority of the reviews were 5 star. With respect I don't understand that. Our stay was good overall and very good value, but while there were a lot of things the hotel did well, there were also some they could have done much better.
Before our stay at Premier Inn Dubai Investment Park, I sent an email to the hotel reception, asking them about an early check in and advising them that we had no particular room preference, but ideally requested a quiet room and one with strong air conditioning. The mail was sent on two occasions and neither generated a response from the Reception Team.
We arrived at the hotel at lunchtime and were informed that there were no rooms available till after 1.00pm and that there was a 25aed charge for an early check-in. So we went for a stroll and had lunch and came back after 1pm. We were told that they now had a room ready for us, on the third floor. Once again we clearly requested a quiet room, with good air conditioning and were assured that Room 309 would be suitable. When we got to the room, the room temperature was 26 degrees, so we quickly turned on the air conditioning, whilst expressing disappointment that our room was at the front of the hotel and as it is on a busy main road, there was a lot of traffic noise.
We unpacked and went out for a couple of hours, expecting the room to be cooler when we got in later that afternoon. Unfortunately our room was like a sauna, still 26 degrees with the most feeble draft from a useless air conditioner. As we went out early that evening we mentioned the issue at reception and they promised to send an engineer. On our return, we have no idea, whether or not an engineer came to our room, but the room temperature was still 26. It was almost midnight, but there was no way we could sleep in such a hot room, so another trip down to reception and a very helpful guy moved us to Room 103 and set the air conditioning on a nice low temperature. So that's most of the bad news out of the way. After that our stay was pleasant but still not a 5 out of 5 rating.
Good points Great price, friendly staff and convenient location just a five minute walk to the metro. The roof top pool is quite small, but perfectly functional and usually quiet. The lifeguard was great and bottled water is free. There is also free tea and coffee in the room a two bottles of water are left daily. There is a pub and a restaurant onsite. Prices are very reasonable., especially with a 20% discount for hotel guests. The room was cleaned well every day and the bed very comfortable.
Bad Points The hotel is close to the metro, as mentioned above, but it is quite a distance to the main attractions, the malls and beaches etc. Both our rooms were showing slight signs of wear and tear, especially the bathroom and needed a bit of TLC. There were also a few marks on the carpet.
Overall We were aware of the location, so this wasn't an issue for us, but maybe would be for some travellers. We got a great price and after the initial issues with the room, we were very happy with our stay.
The Big Question Would we stay here again? Yes, just so long as we were not planning to do too many trips to the centre and on the assumption that the price was...
Read moreToday marks the completion of my one-month stay at Premier Inn Dubai Investment Park, which began on June 26th. Overall, it has been a truly pleasant and comfortable experience.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Front Office and Restaurant teams for their warm hospitality and attentive service throughout my stay. Most of the staff members were courteous, helpful, and consistently made me feel welcomed.
In particular, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the following individuals for their exceptional service and professionalism:
Front Office – Nithin, Joy, Sherif, and Alex
Restaurant – Shona, Cynthia, Janet, and Mina House keeping Service – A special mention to Mr. Lalith Chettri, who truly stood out as one of the best individuals I have encountered during my entire stay. I would also like to acknowledge Mr. Muzammel for his excellent service.
They all went above and beyond and played a significant role in making my stay comfortable. My sincere apologies if I have missed mentioning anyone by name.
However, I did encounter a few moments of discomfort with two members of the Front Office team and two from the Restaurant. Unfortunately, their service lacked the attentiveness and warmth shown by the rest of the team, and at times, their demeanor felt somewhat abrupt and dismissive.
Despite these few instances, my overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and well-managed place to stay in DIP.
Thank you to the entire team for your continued efforts and genuine...
Read moreThis is the worst experience of my life that I choose to stay here for almost a month. As soon as I entered here my journey of suffering started. reception told me that there is no trolly men and it is self service. Imagine you are coming with all that luggage from airport and then you are taking all that luggage by yourself to your room. It appears they are owned by indian management because everyday for 30 days we were served indian style breakfast. Everyday same indian dishes. This is not international standard. I saw people didn't like the food because this chef is from south Indian and everyday he was making south Indian dishes. he even don't know how to make an omelette.
Staff is very rude here. Except they guy Alex. Everyone here talks like they are in charge here and owns the building. They dont know how to talk to guest. I am not going to recommend this at all as I stayed here for almost a month because I did a big mistake to make a payment of all month as this was my first trip to Dubai. In all the world guest are treated with respect but I felt lot of misrescpect here. I was feeling like I am not in Dubai rather in India.
I am going to start a social media compaign against this and possibly file the charges of misrescpect because this unacceptable.
Don't ever stay here for long term otherwise you will regret. Go to some international hotel chain like...
