Re: Poor Haircut, Dye/Bleach and Attitude

I had visited the salon recently to get my haircut, hair dyed and blow-dried by Mike. The cost of which was AED 890.The service I had received was extremely poor and unpleasant.

I had shown a picture to the hairdresser and asked him to do it like the picture (see 3rd image). It was nothing like it at all, not even the colour, I asked for, a balayage hair color, of course the colour didn’t have to be as light as per the picture but the closest it can be according to my hair condition, as a professional hairdresser he should know. Then, he asked to put some layer which I had agreed but the layers were roughly cut without blending to the hair naturally, no style with uneven finished (see 4th image).

Then I had contacted the hairdresser and had requested to fix my hair which I wished I had not done. The price I paid for to such exclusive salon, I expected a high quality of service and to be happy with the outcome of my hair. Unfortunately I did not feel the same, especially following my next visit, which my hair cut resulted from bad to worse, horrific (see 1st image)!

I had asked the hairdresser to dye my dark roots similar colour to the rest of my hair, as the dark roots didn’t give the balayage finished but rather dirty looking. Following the hair dye of the roots, the colour turned orange which I didn't like. He then explained to me that he didn’t bleach them as my skull could had been damaged, after all my skull was burning from the dye he put which I didn’t complain about. It would have been better if he could have explained this to me earlier, so that I could have the option to express my opinion. Being still unsatisfied with the result, without any hope for improvements, I told him to proceed with fixing my haircut. He dried up my hair, then started chopping my hair off with the shaving machine while standing up, without any support/covered to my clothes and with bad behaviour which was unprofessional and unpleasant for such an exclusive salon.

The following morning, I realised that my gold necklace which is very sentimental to me, had also been chopped off too. I had learnt this by calling the salon and asking if they had found any necklace which I had described to them. To my horror they had sent me an image which only part of the necklace had been found and could be seen that it had been chopped off from both sides (see 2nd image). They had not found the other part of my necklace. This was a very upsetting and unacceptable experience I will not forget.

As soon as I had left the Hair Lounge Ladies Salon, I had visited another salon as I just could not bear with my horrible haircut, at least. I am thankful that the other salon had fixed my hair cut, which also costed me. I had also changed the orange hair colour as it was not pleasing to look at.

I have informed the owner but has not given any respond. I just hope that no one else could experience...

Every time I sit in Khal’s chair – whether it’s his scissors(he s the best pro i ve seen so far!! And i did visit many great stylists around the world!) , coloring or a blow-dry – I feel sooooo safe and relaxed because I know he truly understands what I want. Such understanding doesn't have a price! He even made me fall in love with short hair (before chemos I always had long hair only!) and showed me how many fun and chic styles are possible when it’s cut right. ✂️✨And when it s cut-it gets even more beautiful while growing 🤩! Now I love it and wanna play even more with the versatile styles. But only allowing it to be done at this place for sure❤️.

And I can’t forget lovely stylist Omar(always so attentive with my hair) and the whole team – they’re always so welcoming and warm. Every visit feels like coming home. 🏡 Stress-free home 😉👆 Since day one I came to Hair Lounge I even stopped doing my hair in my home country, only here i feel safe-especially when it s about short haircut! ✨👌
