My experience at Resivation Hotel in Dubai was nothing short of a nightmare. The rooms weren’t just dirty—they were disgustingly neglected, with an overwhelming stench of urine that hit you as soon as you walked in. We asked the reception for a proper cleaning or a room change, but instead, a staff member just came by and sprayed air freshener, turning the room into a cheap diner restroom. The furniture, if you can call it that, looked like it had been pulled from the nearest junkyard—stained, worn, and barely holding together.
And the staff? Another disaster. The so-called manager was rude and condescending, mixing in Russian words as if we wouldn’t understand English. He raised his voice with a snide tone, making it clear he couldn’t care less about our complaints. After that, we decided to leave for a while and come back late at night, just to get through our stay as best we could. We even bought our own bedding because the hotel’s beds were crawling with bedbugs.
When we returned late at night, the parking lot was full, and the guard took forever to open the gate until we finally went to reception for help. We ended up leaving our suitcases in the car because we couldn’t risk bringing them into a room filled with insects.
As if that wasn’t enough, we were in for yet another “surprise.” All night, a group of people in the neighboring room threw a disco party so loud that we woke up in a panic, thinking something was seriously wrong. We tried to call the front desk for thirty minutes, but it was as if the entire staff had vanished. I finally had to knock on the neighbors’ door myself. They turned off the music immediately but didn’t open the door. Then, a few minutes later, someone from the reception knocked on my door, rudely asking me not to disturb the other guests! (I have photos, videos, and recorded conversations to prove every word I’m writing.)
Half an hour later, an all-out, sorry to be blunt, orgy started. Her moans and the voices of two men could be heard down the entire hallway. This place is not a hotel—it’s a full-on brothel. The woman seemed to be Russian because she was cursing between moans, and the men sounded either Indian or Pakistani. This ruckus continued until morning, and then at 6 a.m., reception called my room asking me to repark my car—truly outstanding service.
Everything on the hotel’s website is a complete lie. The reality is not just disappointing; it’s outright degrading for guests who pay for this disaster. It feels like the owners either don’t care or are completely misled by the management’s false reports. As they say, “a fish rots from the head down,” and that’s precisely what’s...
Read moreResivation is ideally placed in the up and coming Al Furjan district and is a 20 minute walk from Al Furjan metro station, though the hotel offers a shuttle bus service for runs to and from there.||The hotel is run by a small, friendly and professional team who are the most helpful staff I’ve encountered. Rooms are maintained every two days with regular fresh linen and towels. The maintenance team, particularly Tawhid, are pleasant and courteous and particularly efficient - rooms are turned around within 20 minutes and always left in a consistently clean and tidy state, with supplies updated. In my months long stay I could find nothing to complain about.||The hotel offers a basement laundry for a small charge, compete with washing machines, dryers and an iron, though an iron and ironing board will be brought to your room upon request.||A restaurant on the first floor offers a good range of international cuisine, though their Indian menu is particularly good, offering a range of dishes that are more homemade than Michelin starred, but very tasty and appropriately priced.||A small convenience store next door to the hotel offers everything you might need, and I have yet to find anything they do not stock (from Clothes hangers to cat food to adopt the hotel’s old resident, Oreo).||A lovely Bakery/Cafe, Katrina Coffee and Cakes, is my daily hangout for a light lunch and excellent coffee, and only a short walk. Katrina also offers a small range of grocery supplies for your convenience, though there are two larger supermarkets only ten minutes walk from Resivation’s front door, in either direction. ||A small mall in the centre of Al Furjan is a 25 minute walk and has a Spinney’s supermarket, two pharmacies and numerous restaurants, including a McDonalds and a McCafferty’s pub.||Overall, Resivation is a real find, and I’ll be staying again in future.||Thanks to all for making my stay easy and...
Read moreA Nightmare of Disrespect and Unprofessionalism – Avoid at All Costs!
My recent experience at this 2-star hotel was nothing short of appalling. From the moment I arrived, I was met with blatant disrespect, hostility, and unprofessionalism from multiple staff members, including the reception team, security, and even the manager himself.
I had a confirmed booking via Booking.com, but upon arrival, the reception staff refused to honor it and flat-out denied me a room—despite showing proof. When I calmly asked to speak to a manager or resolve the issue, I was met with sneers, insults, and condescending remarks. The situation escalated when security was called, not to assist, but to intimidate and verbally attack me. The owner then arrived, doubling down on the staff’s behavior, shouting derogatory comments, and refusing to acknowledge their responsibility.
They refused to honor a valid Booking.com reservation, leaving me stranded. Staff and security hurled insults, laughed at my concerns, and created a hostile environment. The manager actively participated in the disrespect, showing zero empathy or willingness to resolve the issue.
This isn’t just about poor service—it’s about a complete lack of human decency. The staff’s conduct made me feel unsafe and humiliated. Save yourself the trauma: DO NOT STAY HERE**.
To Future Travelers: If you value your dignity, peace of mind, or even basic customer service, steer clear of this establishment. There are far better options where guests are treated with respect. I’ve reported this to Booking.com and urge others to avoid this hotel entirely.
A hotel’s true character is revealed in how it treats guests in distress. Here, that character is rotten...
