Family of 4 So we stayed at this hotel for 5 nights as part of our staycation to Blackpool. It's a stone's throw away to plenty of places and was outside of the town itself enough to be quiet and more suitable to stay in. This hotel does NOT have air con and whilst they do provide a fan which is welcomed relief, it's not the best. Even with the fan on 3 it's essentially (obviously) just circulating the warm air. For 4 nights on a row the temp was 32⁰C when trying to go to sleep. Just insane. It left for 4 very bad night sleeps. Tossing and turning, struggling to get comfortable etc. The rooms have a hair dryer, a mirror, an area to hang about 6 items of clothing, some square shelves to store items. It has a TV with Freeview, USB sockets by the side of the master bed to charge phones without a UK plug. A large desk area under the TV. A shower, a narrow bath, toilet and sink. There is shower body and hair gel provided and there is soap provided. Toilet roll is provided as well as towels but BE AWARE, due to Covid I presume they do not clean the room at all during your stay and check-in isn't until later at 4pm. I didn't feel the 4pm was very clear but I did read Covid restriction information. Anyway, due to no cleaning, the room isn't cleaned, towels aren't changed and toilet paper isn't replenished. For a family of 4 we ran out of toilet paper 2 days in and ended up going to Morrisons to buy more. Towels we didn't know what to do but tried to dry them daily and reuse. Pillows aren't comfy in my opinion and there's no additional to use. 1 per bed. We had a family room. It has a double and a single bed then a popup bed. The popup bed may aswell have been made of cardboard with a mattress topper. Totally unsuitable and why another single bed can't be used is beyond me. But thankfully my 5yr old was ok in it. The hotel is old and needs some TLC. Reception is dark and dingey and rooms and corridors etc do need some love and attention. Cleaning is average. There was some hairs left in our bath, sink and the walls had coffee stains on in places. But staff are lovely and do a good job on reception etc. They can't help where they work in that it's Premier Inns responsibility to maintain this space not theirs. Overall I'd stay again at a push. But I wouldn't stay here unless I had to and I certainly wouldn't stay again during summer. 32⁰C is too warm inside the rooms and even with the window open the 10cm it lets you open,...
Read moreThe room was really clean and really nice however the room was uncomfortably warm. Our room temp at one point was 28 degrees. We opened the window, however, with the restricted opening it didn't make a difference. We stayed here for 3 nights and that was enough I don't think we would've coped another night there. There was a fan in the room which was on constantly but made little difference. We did ask a member of staff on how we can cool the room and the lady said that there is a temperature box on the wall and put it down to the lowest temp it can go it made a bit of a difference but the temp goes back up so just keep checking it. Also, the hotel is quite a bit away from the centre of Blackpool and costs between £10.80 and £12 from the hotel to coral island or pleasure beach, it's about £15 to Blackpool North. I'm sure there is a bus that takes you to the centre of Blackpool. I think the hotel is more catered for people with a car who can get to the centre of Blackpool or for those who don't mind paying the taxi fare. We didn't realise how far we were but still enjoyed the stay anyway. There is a shop close by about 10 minute walk (I think) which is good for any essentials etc. The staff were lovely and helpful we can't fault them and the restaurant beside the hotel was lovely and isn't expensive and the staff in there were lovely. We had a good stay but unfortunately won't be returning to this hotel as it is quite a bit away from Blackpool centre and the rooms were just too warm. I reccomend the hotel getting...
Read moreThis was our third visit on 31 July to this hotel in 5 years and certainly the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. We were on the second floor and have never encountered so much noise in a hotel ever. Sounded like a hard of elephants above us all night long until around midnight. There was do much noise from other guests outside. Groups of men shouting out yo each other, families letting their small children run around screaming all night long. Finally it seemed to quiet down around 11pm, then the staff came out of the pub next door having shouting conversations with each other whilst they walked to their cars. The hotel seemed to have all Covid procedures in place so at least that was a positive. That was until the next morning when I discovered the next morning that the shadow under the sheet on the mattress protector that I had discovered late the previous evening was actually a fresh blood stain obviously from the previous occupant of the room. This was an absolutely disgusting thing to discover in normal circumsrances, but in this Covid pandemic words daily me. I have messaged customer services so await...
