Yew Tree Cottage — Hotel in Derbyshire Dales

iIf Disney is looking to cast a newcomer in the star role for the next Mary Poppins movie, I think I have found the ideal candidate....||But first, the usual review stuff. If you have read the other reviews you will know all about how wonderful this place is and how particular Teanie is to ensure you are made welcome. I cannot add much more other than vouch for the accuracy of the 5 star reviews||But I want to focus on how Teanie goes above and beyond what you could reasonably expect as a b&b hostess to respond to guests’ predicaments. ||We attended a family wedding on the wettest day in August, the reception to be held in a marquee on a field nearby. After she acted as parking coordinator, I was treated to an ironing lesson to ensure my outfit was perfect We were given umbrellas by Teanie for protection and when we returned, absolutely soaked through, she took our clothes to dry them|| We also had a minor medical situation and she came to our rescue with the minimum of fun||So unflappable. We stayed with Teanie and Richard for a few days whilst exploring some of the peak district and came across this amazing B and B! |Our hosts were really lovely, friendly and nothing too much trouble! |Breakfast is the most amazing event where u can enjoy as little or as much as you want and I had a delicious treat on day 2 with a smoked salmon bagel topped with sauted mushroom, tomato and onion finished with hollandaise sauce and freshly snipped chives! Best breakfast ever! My boyfriend tucked into local sausage,bacon,tomato and eggs fried to perfection! |The homemade fruit salad is another must in this quiet and charming cottage!||We also visited padley gorge and lumsden falls which were beautiful and very close by and can also recommend the Sri Lankan restaurant in the village for dinner!||Thank you Teanie and Richard we hope to come along soon! Having read all of the rave reviews about Yew Tree Cottage we decided to book and we were not disappointed. Teanie and Richard were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Rose Room for a couple of nights, the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, the en-site was of a very good size with a great Power Shower. The Breakfast was absolutely delicious, nothing was spared and it certainly set us up for the day.||||The Cottage is situated in an ideal location for Matlock, Bakewell and surrounding areas of interest, we were very fortunate to have stayed there as Teanie and Richard are selling up and retiring, a great loss for the Hospitality Business in this area, enjoy your...
