We stumbled across Molland Manor as a wedding venue, when we learned our original venue was being developed and would effectively be a building site while our wedding was happening. Molland, an established B&B had just got its licence as a wedding venue and after a visit there, we knew it was the place for us. I don’t feel there is a huge need to talk about the beauty of the place; the pictures available on various social media platforms and websites speak volumes. Furthermore, the pictures will be a true representation of what is there. There is no hidden mess or ugliness hidden by clever photography. This was also compounded by the honesty of the staff there. Tracy, the owner, was helpful from start to finish. She was honest about charges and was willing to assist with all aspects of organisation for the day, regardless of how trivial it seemed at the time. On numerous occasions, Tracy had to remind us she was not a wedding planner- which she quite easily could be if we are honest.
The co-ordination of the various companies such as caterers, musicians, marquees, toilets, service and registrar were all seamlessly managed by Tracy. Her communication was excellent and she was always excited to share ideas and work with us on the order of the day. On the day, Tracy was like a robot, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our day went without any hitch. She was also a shield; ensuring any administrative items were dealt with on the day so that we were left to our wedding.
Molland House will flourish as a wedding venue. This is partly down to its beauty, but in large part to Tracy and her partner Steve’s constant willing to go the extra mile. Our wedding day was perfect thanks to Tracy not only putting in what was a mammoth 18 hour shift on the day, but putting in hours of her time each day to assist in something we were completely overawed by. If Tracy wasn’t there to guide us, our wedding wouldn’t have been the same. Tracy gave us a special day we will remember for the rest...
Read moreMy mum wanted to find somewhere for our whole family to be able to stay together and she could not have found anything more perfect. Molland Manor is absolutely beautiful and surrounded by picturesque countryside. The house itself had plenty of space for all 24 of us with a dining area and lounge big enough for us all to sit. Most of the rooms are huge and have ensuite bathrooms some of which have jacuzzi baths. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay effortless, the bar area was perfect for us younger ones, with a pool table and karaoke machine. I had worried when I'd read an earlier review about the owners getting frustrated with loud music but there are clear signs that ask you to close windows and doors after 11pm which we did. We had people up until 1-2 am for two nights and had no complaints about noise or told to turn music down. I think sometimes people forget they are in a family home surrounded by their neighbours but as long as you are respectful there won't be a problem. We found the owners to be extremely helpful and approachable and although when you hire the whole house they stay in the property behind the house we barely saw them and they left us to our own devices. The garden is perfect for children there are tree swings, slide, trampoline goal posts, plenty for the children to do and they spent so much time running around outside. We also had access to the hot tub which just made the stay that extra bit special. I really cannot recommend this property enough especially if you are looking for somewhere as a big...
Read moreThis was advertised as a LUXURY B&B. We arrived well within the check in time and waited a long time to be admitted. Rang the bell 3 times waiting in between and also phoned the number on the door which went straight through to answerphone. We were shown to our room, no offer of help with bags. There were no towels and no hairdryer, we had to ask. Luxury should have had this sorted. Good hospitality tray and fresh milk in fridge. Toilet seat very loose, had to be careful when sitting down. Dirt at the top of the sink underneath the worktop. Thick dust in between the floorboards and skirting board near the door.|The jacuzzi bath was lovely and the breakfast was very good apart from the tea. I let it brew for over 5 mins and it was still like dishwater. The replacement pot was only a bit better. I used a tea bag and hot water the next day.|If you advertise as LUXURY and charge for it then you should do better. We have stayed in 100s of B&Bs over the years and this was not a...
