Food was superb, waiting staff however leave a lot to be desired. The waitress poured most of a drink on the table, didn't offer to replace and didn't come back to clean it up, she then tipped half of my daughters chips on the floor and again no offer to replace them just an ooops sorry. We then had to ask for my fries to come over as they had forgotten to bring them out, this took some time. The other tables seemed to get a lot better service than ourselves and had the menu explained to them, we just got handed it and a quick ramble before they walked off. The icing on the cake was when I paid the bill the waitress stood looking at me as I was getting up like she was expecting a tip, she may as well of stood with her hand out, sorry I did not receive service worth of a tip, I have had better service...

Ours was a party for ten to celebrate a 70th birthday. Comfortably seated our charming waitress Rhianna came and took our orders with exactly the right mix of professionalism and friendliness. The food when it arrived was outstanding. Down our end of the table the two men had the most magnificent T-bone steaks, thick, tasty and beautifully presented with a choice of three lovely sauces (I went for mustard and white wine). The women both had Flame Grilled Vegan Burgers which were proclaimed to be the best they’d ever had! With the main course cleared away a wonderful birthday cake arrived. I never like leaving negative reviews but we have been completely let down by this pub! I booked a table for 12 people for Mother’s Day on February 8th, and the person I spoke to took all my details over the phone, confirming the reservation.

However, on a chance visit by my parents ahead of the booking, they discovered a sign stating the kitchen is closed for refurbishment and no one even bothered to call and inform me. To make matters worse, the pub had no record of my booking at all.

This is incredibly poor customer service, and now we’re left with four lovely mums with nowhere to go for Mother’s Day. With just a week to go, everywhere we’ve called is fully booked and unable to accommodate 12 people at such...
