The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom had a full-sized bath with a good shower. There were shower gel and hand wash dispensers by the bath and sink. The room was heated by a thermostat controlled electric heater. There was no cooling, though in warm weather a pedestal fan is provided to circulate the air. The bed was spacious and comfortable. There is free WiFi and a Freeview TV. There is only one power point in the room, and it is not by the bed so any tech gadgets would need to be charged by the desk, and only one at a time. Breakfast is an optional extra, and is taken in the close-by Mill restaurant. Cooked breakfasts are prepared to order, and are ok but be ready for a 20 minute wait. This was a good choice for a one-night stopover with a car (free parking). The location is quiet and about 3 miles outside Eastbourne. There are retail parks and a big Tesco a mile and a half away for any personal items that might be needed for an unscheduled stay, although some things e.g. toothpaste and brush can be bought at reception. Not the Hilton by any means, but quiet and comfortable and would recommend for a short stay.

Fantastic 2 night stay in such a lovely hotel that has amazingly friendly & very helpful staff. My car broke down, so I had to catch the train from Arundel, but as soon as I arrived I was made to feel so welcome by a lovely young lady named Jade, who just let me waffle on about my poor car & who told me I had a top floor room as requested in a quieter part of the hotel overlooking the Mill. My room was amazing, it may of been an older type design, but so full of character with such a lovely view from the window, the bed & pillows were so comfortable, the shower & the TV perfect, and the room temperature was just right, my time flew by so quickly, that I can't wait to go back, as I found all the reception staff friendly & concerned about me & my poor car! Very pretty area just 4miles outside Eastbourne with very good public transport links, as both the bus stops are just outside the Hotel on either side of the road, and the Mill Pub & Restaurant across the large free car park looks outstanding! The nearest train station is Hampden Park.

I tend to opt for Premier Inn hotels because they are a safe bet and normally reasonably priced. Bit I have to say this one, like the Ramsgate one I stayed in recently, is looking pretty tired and run down. The walls are damaged or poorly patched up, there is signs of mould appearing on the bath grouting, the bed I slept of was broken. There are NO sockets beside the bed and only three single sockets by the TV, kettle and hair dryer. They did kindly provide us with an extension lead so not all bad. This place needs some money spent on it to bring it up to the standards we expect from Premier Inns. Perhaps whoever looks after Kent needs to pull their finger out? The staff were very helpful though and I still had a comfortable nights sleep (aside from the creaking broken bed). Don't reply on the restaurant next door though.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Recent Stay – Request for Refund||||From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this location was not being maintained to your usual standard. The hotel sign was obscured by overgrown hedgerows, making it difficult to locate. The adjacent pub appeared shabby and uninviting, and the car park itself was in poor condition, with gravel scattered across the surface and overgrown shrubs giving an overall impression of neglect.||||While the receptionist was polite and check-in was straightforward, the room itself was a disappointment. The smell of bleach was overpowering—so strong that it caused me a mild headache—and the curtains were hanging off the rail. I am unsure how this was missed during any pre-arrival inspection. The receptionist did attempt to rectify the situation by using a machine to reduce the odour and reattaching the curtains while we vacated the room, but we were left wandering the area unfamiliar and struggling to find somewhere suitable to wait.||||We initially tried the pub next door, but it was dirty, poorly presented, and completely uninviting, leaving us without a place to eat or relax.||||In the morning, breakfast was served in the same pub, and again, the experience was disappointing. The selection was minimal, the set-up disorganised, and one staff member referred to guests as “darling” repeatedly, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. We left after having just two slices of toast each.||||Overall, the stay was a let-down in every respect. For a cost of £193, I was frankly shocked at the poor standard and feel the experience was not reflective of the Premier Inn brand I have...

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we would return again.|It is in a really good location and free carparking is ideal|The staff are very helpful, friendly and hardworking. Our room was clean on arrival, as too the actual hotel. The corner of the carpark was littered with rubbish and we informed a young lady who was working on the reception (25/5/25), she was very apologetic and immediately went out to pick it all up.|We had a family room for 3 nights, we took our niece, nephew (ages 9 and 7) and granddaughter, aged 1 year and 2 months|We were provided with 1 double bed, 2 singles and a cot.|The space was alittle tight and this was expected considering these rooms don't normally accommodate cots.|It was warm at night, we had the window opened and also Premier Inn provided a decent sized fan which made the temperature comfortable.|There is no onsite restaurant, so the Hungry Horse pub next door provides the breakfast. Surprisingly, the breakfast was good and we ate there one evening and this was also decent.|Eastbourne and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to visit. We would leave the hotel earlyish in the morning and return 7/8pm.|The kids would be tired and fall asleep not long after and this is why having little space in the room didn't bother us.|Prices for Premier Inn are good value and they're are better if booked a couple...

The Room was clean but carpet looked well used the same goes for the Bathroom, the towels looked clean but had stains on them ? for a double room or as we had a family room for 2 off us over 4 days to have more than one large and one small towel each is a bit on the cheap side, the room did not supply any additional sockets for a laptop to be plugged in or any chargers for mobiles there was 3 sockets all being used by there appliances. The coffee and tea supply in the room for 2 people was just 2 packs of coffee 2 of tea bags, sugar and milk was the same. I have been to others and they have been better, feels like where this is situated is or has been forgotten in time. A SMILE GOES A LONG WAY WHEN BEING GREETED BY STAFF none was shown during our 4 day stay. The Mill is a place to avoid very dirty very bad mannered and the cooking was tasteless i can and do cook at home better than they served up, to turn people away when tables are empty ? if the food is good people will wait, the outside area is dirty with litter and kids crayons drinks bottles etc, the pond there is very green and dirty presentation is poor once again the staff was unfriendly. smile and friendliness goes a long way. go downtown you get treated with well...
