4 out of 10 stay. Very BAD value for money. The hotel, if you can even call it that provides pretty much 0 service. From second you arrive you realise you have made a mistake booking. No one helps you with your luggage from your car which is parked down a hill. Your assigned a stinking petrol buggy that stinks, terrible for the animals and environment. Arrived at our accommodation lion lodge 2 staying 3 adults and toddler. Accommodation comprising of a master bedroom on ground floor with a university style double bed with horrendous mattress where you fall into each other it’s such low quality just what you hoped for at £1300 per night. Second sleeping area is at mezzanine level where you can enjoying being BLINDED all night by the LED permanent lights right at your eye level. Terrible for kids and adults. This should be listed and guests should be informed when bookings . When I called to ask how I could switch them off they suggested eye mask, what a joke. Checked out following day not that any of the staff cared no one seems to care about anything it’s run by very chilled local animal lovers who clearly do not have any training in hospitality . Best part of the accommodation is the kitchenette however fridge is totally empty apart from some milk so again you better bring a suitcase of food and drinks. Big mistake booking this place and feel it’s important to let people know not to waste...
Read moreWe had stayed previously at the Park and always wanted to return to the Lion enclosure for a special occasion - and so glad that we did!||||The lodge is amazing with a huge garden and seating area with fire pit that overlooks the fields. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The most amazing part of the whole trip was sitting in the outside bath drinking champagne (complementary) with just a glass window separating us from the lions. Both lions came up to the glass looking at us and it was very special to see them so close. ||||Our living room overlooked the lion's sleeping quarters so we got to see them a lot - playing, snoozing and chilling. We had read reviews that seeing the lions is not guaranteed, so I don't know if we were just lucky, but they were both visible for most of our time there. In fact, other then lunch at the main restaurant (very nice!), we spent the majority of our time in our lodge, either outside in our private garden, in the bath, or chilling in the living room. ||||We were very lucky with the weather - it was a lovely sunny day, and that allowed us to really get the most from the lodge. It was a fantastic experience all round and the staff at Port Lympne are...

What an incredible experience, you actually get to sleep next to lions.
The room was exquisitely designed and well thought of. Very very hot when we got there(under floor heating), I adjusted the thermostat but still wasn't sure, I called guest services who were always very friendly, they sent a manintenance guy who was so helpful and showed me what I was doing was right.
Anywho, there were so many great little touches, the outdoor Scandinavian bath (call guest services 2 hours before use to allow to heat), fresh milk and water in the fridge as well as Raspberry water, great selection of teas and coffee, popcorn, biscuits, fudge, crisps and even marshmallows for the fire. We were really impressed.
Outside there was a viewing platform with a fire pit but unfortunately it was too cold for us! The grounds are incredible and well kept too.
A great night's sleep was had by all, with check out at 12pm you really had so much time to enjoy the facilities...
