We had breakfast here included in our package. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and good menu. From the minute we walked in we was met by the supervisor and found her to be abrupt and rude from the offset. We were asked which drinks we would like before we had even got our jackets off and both wanted Tea. One small pot between us arrived which was fine until we noticed other tables had one per person. We were never asked again if we wanted another drink. Before food arrived I noticed that the small plate I had was dirty so when the mentioned member of staff come over I asked for a new one she did not even reply or look at me snatched the plate off me and returned with one from another table again saying nothing. We felt that we was inconveniencing her by asking for a non dirty plate! No one explained the menu to us in that could you choose both the light breakfast I.e toast, croissant, fruit ASWELL as a cooked breakfast so we just ordered our main breakfast and noticed other tables around us getting lots more. Food itself hiwever was lovely and as were the two other members of staff we met. A young dark haired lady was lovely and the man brining out the food to us was also! When we were finished we asked the young lady if we needed to sign anything etc as we were finished and didn’t want to just walk off she said she would ask her supervisor which is how we knew the rude member of staff was actually the supervisor! Not only is it terrible service from a normal member of staff but that sort of service from someone who is a supervisor is diabolical. It defiantly put a dampener on the start to our morning however every other member of staff we had met at port lympne had been far from this. We are however grateful that we only had breakfast here and not dinner then night before.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Port Lympne Safari Park. After a nice walk we had a lovely meal at the park restaurant. The place is awesome. Great views, amazing atmosphere, clean and tidy, the staff are very welcoming and willing to help. The moment you step in the restaurant you are welcomed by nice people and a warm atmosphere with lovely colours. We have been escorted to the table by Molly, a sweet young girl with a big smile that made us feel welcomed. She also served our food with professionalism. Alfred helped us up with the drinks, I had tried some beer made in the Romney area and I enjoyed that. The food was delicious although there is room for improvement. The Sunday menu was simple with not so many options which for some people is great for others not. The starters came very fast and after we finished the starters in a few minutes we had the mains. Overall I am definitely recommending this place.and hopefully we will come back soon

Came for a Sunday roast with a family member who has recently been unwell and thought we would treat. The roast itself was beautiful. Such tender beef and fresh produce. Menu could be a little bigger and we would’ve loved to have had a lamb option seeing as it’s lambing season. Still have great options for food and drink offered on their menus. However the service has to be worked on as a major priority. The servers were lovely but for what seemed to be a quiet Sunday lunch they were very poor with the actual service. It seems there is a lot of young servers with little to no experience in restaraunt service. There were a few things we had to ask for a few times as they seem to have been forgotten about. Although the service was a let down the mistakes were always corrected (but always took 5-10 minutes) We will definitely come back as the food was highly rated! Just fingers crossed the service become more elevated and attentive soon!!

This was quite an experience.

This restaurant offers a full range: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The good: The atmosphere is pleasant and the location is excellent.

The bad: Where do I begin? Regrettably, this may have been the worst service I have ever encountered, and I have had my share of poor experiences.

The food was slow and rather mediocre. At lunch, despite having reserved a table, we arrived to find it incompletely set. This would have been acceptable, but when we requested glasses and cutlery, they were brought and left in the middle of the table without napkins. Despite asking for napkins, they never arrived. Additionally, one of the children in our party received their food only after everyone else had finished eating.

At dinner, we were greeted with a casual “Hi guys,” which felt out of place in such a setting. Five minutes after placing our order, the waitress informed us that there was only one tomahawk steak left and joked that we would have to “fight for it.” There were several items missing from our order, and we found a bottle of water on the bill that we had not ordered. I ordered a sirloin steak with two portions of chips, but the second portion arrived much later than the steak. We had to repeatedly request a steak knife, among many other minor issues that added up.

The ugly: When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the manager/hostess’s attitude changed markedly, and we were the only party that did not receive a farewell from the staff.

The beautiful: Surprisingly, breakfast today was quite satisfactory thanks to no other than our waitress Florence, she was exceptionally polite...

Me and my father visited here after having an amazing safari with Will. The decor was amazing and the staff were so polite and wonderful especially Fin( I really hope I got I got your name right if I haven’t please forgive me❤️. Fin was the only reason for me giving these 3 stars. He was genuinely so lovely and professional as were all the staff. We both ordered 2 steaks medium rare with 3 sides. It came out well done unfortunately. It seemed to me that they had been sous vide before hand which I thought was lazy of the chef considering we were the first people to order in the restaurant. The manager also agreed it was well done. The steak also unfortunately tasted to have been frozen before hand. We were disappointed and underwhelmed by the standard of food. A good friend of mine recommended this restaurant. She was surprised by my experience as she’s eaten in this restaurant 3 times before with no issues. Maybe they were having a bad day who knows? This was my first time complaining about the quality of food in a restaurant because I’m usually someone to get on with it. I understand that staff are under pressure in the kitchen and sometimes food is rushed. The staff were fantastic and the decor was lovely. Most of the waitresses/ waiter’s were singing along to the background music which created a lovely atmosphere. Thank you to the staff but shame on the chef . If it was busy I would let it off but for this standard of restaurant I’m very disappointed. I will definitely be back for a safari but unfortunately will not be returning to eat here. The chef let the place down on...
