A superb B and B, located just outside Chepstow. Stunning scenery, extremely welcoming hosts, nothing is too much trouble! A fun games room with a pool table, honesty bar and Sky tv. Our suite was beautiful with a private bathroom with roll top bath, large double shower with a rainfall option and quaint vintage style sanitary wear. The bedroom was warm and cozy, with a king sized bed, fluffy pillows and a lovely warm duvet. A comfy sofa and tea and coffee facilities which include Costa coffee pods and flavoured and normal teas. Breakfast was delicious, choose from pancakes, crumpets, home made porridge and pastries. Help yourself to cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh orange juice with plenty of tea and coffee provided. We stayed here as we had tickets to watch Wales v Baa Baas at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. A half an hour train ride and we were in the centre of Cardiff. Train tickets was £11.50 day return each and a taxi from Chepstow to the B and B is exceptional value at just £6! If you are visiting this part of the world we highly recommend Broadrock and the welcoming owners...
Read moreWe just got back from 3 cosy nights at the self-catering Clock Cottage in Broadrock accommodation. The cottage is beautiful and clean, with two large en-suit bedrooms (giving us some privacy away from the kids!) a well equipped kitchen and a serene lounge. The attention to detail was to be admired, the cottage is full of pretty artefacts, including 31 clocks which the kids enjoyed discovering and counting. The snooker table in the games room was also a hit. This was an excellent base to explore the gorgeous autumn colours of the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, a truly spectacular display and well worth the trip - the view from the Devil's Pulpit onto Tintern Abbey was unforgeable. Although Chepstow, the nearest town, was closed due to the Welsh lockdown, we did not suffer - Jackie helped us find a great pub for supper, and in general both her and Hew are just lovely, warm and helpful hosts. We would recommend this place, come rain...
