This company have ridden roughshod over our small village of Allerthorpe, where they were so desperate to locate themselves. Their plans for 225 caravans were rejected twice by the local council, due to the size and scale in relation to the very small village in which it would be located. They then applied for 150 caravans and after a public enquiry and a panel full of their expensive lawyers and planning experts, sadly they were granted permission for the 150. Since arriving they have dug up the main road in the village (without planning permission) so that they can put a sewerage pipe in, despite telling the villagers it would go across farmland. They lied about the size of the pipe being used (because their agenda is for a much larger capacity for the park). Now they have submitted planning for 75 more caravans. Which would bring the number up to...........you guessed it 225!! Such a cynical move given the strength of feeling against this development.
If you’re thinking of spending your hard earned cash on a caravan, think long and hard about who you’re dealing with.
I have allocated them 1 star as it’s not possible to...
Read moreThe Park itself is hardly exclusive, it’s one of 3 all of which ‘border’ one another. The 9 hole Golf course is available and in use, the restaurant however is opened and closed at the whim of staff. The only safe access / egress to the park is via motorised transport on a ‘B’ road (Main Street) with NO secure refuge or lighting available for those who wish to indulge in those highlighted walking or cycling visits to the local village (pub) and or...
