Read moreSaw the recommendations for the pies served here and thought we have to try it, especially as lamb and mint pie is our favourite and it's a dog friendly pub. Now I can honestly recommend the pie it was absolutely delicious with lots of lovely gravy. Plus the food portion sizes were pretty decent, and lots of free parking available too. However, the pies are served with either mash potatoes or chips, and mash not being my favourite and not fancying chips. I did ask if there was a possibility of having a few roast potatoes instead, especially as they were serving Sunday lunches. I was told no, all the roast potatoes were allocated to the Sunday lunches and none could be spared. Which seemed a little strange, as there will always be extra in case of accidents. Also one of the staff members was rather off hand with us when we first entered, and we asked where we could sit with a dog. So maybe a little customer service tlc might be an idea...
Read moreA special event for me! It has been many a year since I have been at The Plough Inn, but what a pleasure it was to be back. We were greeted and seated close to a lovely warm fire. The young lady serving us on that day couldn't have been more helpful, she was so friendly and catered to our every need. The portions were very generous, but above anything else were beautifully cooked and presented. Mine was particularly tasty and my friend loved her fish. We finished off with a beautiful vanilla and raspberry cheesecake with icecream, yum! The Plough Inn is certainly now on my radar to bring family and friends. Thank you for making my day even...
