I am late with my review and the reason will become evident. I was meant to be visiting Scotland for two weeks in September but caught a rare form of Pneumonia and was hospitalized. I couldn't fly home for a month and was literally 'grounded' in Scotland. I couldn't think of a better place to be stuck quite frankly!|||| I stayed 6 days to recuperate at this amazing Bed and Breakfast. I cannot thank them both enough for their kindness and generosity. The owners went above and beyond as I struggled with being so sick. Everything about staying here was top notch. The room was cozy and clean. With lovely little scottish touches here and there. The breakfast room is adorable and inviting. The bathroom was bright and clean and plenty of hot water. Another fabulous highlight, is your are only 100m from the Loch Ness and one of my favorite beaches near Inverness. This was my third trip to the area. I clearly can't stay away! Norma and John - words cannot express my thanks for making this very difficult and isolating time- easier by your compassion and concern.I hope to come...
Read moreWe spent only one night here- weren't so sure when we drove up. The road feels as though it is behind other homes but when we got in we were very happy. The room was cozy and inviting with a nice view of the garden. Norma had already made reservations for us for dinner at the Dores Inn just down the road- bit of confusion since we didn't know this and tried to make one ourselves! But Norma sorted all this out and it worked out perfectly. You do need a reservation there and it is the "only game in town" so it was really thoughtful of Norma and John to ensure their guests are well looked after.||||Everything here is nicely organized and we liked ordering our breakfast ahead of time. Breakfast was just lovely and a nice chance to eat at your own table and at the same time chat with other guests. Goodness we saw plates on the walls of the breakfast room from so many countries- even one from Canada! So much work running a place well and it was much appreciated....
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay here while visiting family in Dores. We had a wonderful view of Loch Ness from our bedroom window. Rooms were very clean and orderly upon arrival. Norma and John are wonderful hosts and put together delicious breakfasts every morning. I was travelling with my spouse and two small children and they were accommodating particularly of my child with autism. This would be great place to stay with families, couples, or solo travellers. We would certainly return should the...
