I worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years and I have never, ever experience as bad a service as I received staying in one of these Glamping Pods. And when checking out, a day early after spending almost £1000 staying here, I mentioned I had some concerns and asked who should I speak to about them or should I just email their head office. They said "no please, speak with us. Give us a chance to deal with tge issues." So I took the time explaining, at the end, they said hold on, we need to speak to our manager. After they returned from speaking to them they then advised me to email them. So I emailed, no response so emailed asking for response. They then did respond but said they've forwarded my concerns to their head office and are waiting for them to respond...... Over a week ago and still no response.... Another example of appalling service. Some of my concerns. Acrid, damp smell. I bought disinfectant sprays and sir fresheners to attempt to hide the smell. Mould on sheets. Dirty. Cobwebs. C02 alarm faulty and going off. Once removed, live wires on show. Shower was leaking from hose connection. Rubber washer was missing. Shower door hanging off. Not once was there a turn down service, no cleaning done throughout my stay. No change of bedding... no top up of staples.
These were some of my concerns and yet, no one from the company has had the courtesy or common decency to address them or...
Read moreMyself and my family stayed in one of the glamping pods at the Brighton freedom experience site. |Brilliant value for money - perfect for a short break to Brighton . The pods are very compact and cosy . The decking outside is a good size, unfortunately we didnt use it as the weather wasn't great.|My daughter slept on the top bunk bed , which was already made up - but was covered in crumbs . By the time we realised they were dirty, the office was closed . So we waited till the morning to exchange them for some clean ones and were told we should of rang the emergency phone number to get some clean sheets . |We forgot to pack an iron and presumed that they may have ironing facilities at the camp, but unfortunately they didn't. Maybe this is something that they could add to the laundry facilities, iron and ironing board. |An onsite shop / bar would also be handy. There was a patisserie , which smelt delicious but we didn't use.|The campsite is really clean and it's really quiet. Although there is lots of buses running into the city, its still a twenty minute walk to the bus stop . A mini bus running from the camp into the city, would of been really useful. |I would definitely recommend the pods for anyone looking for a mini break...
Read moreWe’ve been coming to this campsite for years, but after this weekend’s experience, we won’t be returning.
We were locked in THREE TIMES due to the faulty ANPR system, all because staff repeatedly entered our number plate incorrectly, despite us providing the correct details (using “O” not zero) multiple times. It was frustrating enough the first time—by the third, it was beyond ridiculous.
The most serious incident happened when I urgently needed exit in a rush and return to our pitch with Calpol for my screaming, unwell 9-month-old baby. Once again, we were stuck at the barrier, and when I called the emergency number, it rang out with no answer. That is a serious safety failure.
When I eventually spoke to someone, I was met with rudeness and a complete lack of empathy. One female staff member behaved astonishingly, implying that I “wasn’t in an emergency.” I cannot overstate how inappropriate and upsetting that was. A crying infant in need of medicine isn’t up for debate.
This wasn’t just poor service—it was shockingly unprofessional and potentially dangerous. No urgency, no apology, and no accountability. After years of loyal visits, this experience has completely changed how we see the site. Absolutely...
