My wife and I recently visited Cornwall for a long weekend, and would highly recommend the Britannia House Vintage B&B . The Grade II listed building is situated in the centre of Godolphin Cross, which is a small village in Helston.
The Hostess, Karen, and her partner Derek, were fantastic, and made us feel really welcome. Our bedroom was immaculate, clean and tastefully decorated included an ensuite with bath and shower! The bed was not as firm as we are used to, but it was nice and comfy, and we slept well.
The property was once the village pub, and very spacious with lots of character, with solid stone walls , sash windows wooden beams throughout. French doors towards the back, led out to an enclosed courtyard , which is ideal for sun worshiping!
The dining table was presented beautifully, Breakfast was a selection of fruit, oats, yogurt and croissant, followed by a cooked vegetarian breakfast. (Very Filling!)
I cannot over emphasis the key attraction of Brittania House is its location. Situated in the heart of southwest Cornwall, this gem was our base to visit places of interest, which were no more than 30 mins away by car. Place we visited included; Coverack, Kynance...

The location was perfect as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of popular sites but close enough to all to make the 15 minutes drive's worth it.
Only knit picky things would be parking as it's on a corner and has more rooms than parking spaces, especially if people bring larger cars it would make it almost impossible to park with complete access to your car. Another is the room, as I have OCD I picked up on a little thing which was the arrangement of furniture making it a bit awkward to watch TV after a long day out. Lastly being a fairly dead set meat eater it came as a bit of a surprise that all breakfast options were vegetarian / vegan which was slightly disappointing.
All in all I can't really complain as the owners attitude, location and room quality was more than good enough for a black country boy like me. Would 100% recommend staying just don't bring a hummer and...
