Falstone Barns — Hotel in Great Britain

Finding Falstone Barns was easy enough, but once you arrive you enter a small carpark. We arrived when it was dark and there was no lights or signs at all, just one other car. With the area being pitch black I had to use my phone torch to look around, eventually found a door through a small tunnel, again not lit at all and into a small courtyard, tgat again had no lights. After going from door to door I found our room and got the key from the lockbox. We then got our bags and stuff from the car, again using a mobile phone as a torch and being careful not to trip on the badly maintained paths.

Once inside we were happy with our room and it seemed good value, until the kids that were staying in the room upstairs started running laps if their room. The ceilings are paper thin, you can hear every single noise from upstairs.

We went out for some food and when returning, again in pitch black I managed to trip on a broken paving stone. And almost fall through a glass window, twisting my ankle in the process.

Getting any sleep was almost impossible. The ceiling above the the main bed was so creaky with no sound deadening that Its no exaggeration when I say that you can hear literally every footstep from upstairs. We could even tell when the upstairs guests turned over in bed and had to listen to their snoring all night. We could tell every time they got out of ved and went to the toilet (which seened to be abnormally often)

If it was a chain hotel I would have demanded a refund and possibly claimed for the twisted ankle and fall due to the very badly maintained exterior.

My advice to the owner is to put up some lighting and fix the walkways before they face being sued due to someone being seriously injured, and solve the creaky...

Overpriced for what it is, reading other reviews I agree fully with their statements made. The decorating/furniture is really dated and clashes heavily with the modern facilities.

I stayed in the 'Versace Glamour' barn for all of one night and the price was £175 and considering the check-in was 16:00 and the check-out is 10:00 that's a huge amount to pay for that much time there. In addition to this, the hot water ran out soon after using the shower which brought it down in my estimations.

The place needs a real revamp before charging that much...

We booked all 4 of the apartments at Falstone Barns for a family get together and had an amazing time. Each apartment has been renovated and decorated to an extremely high standard and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay complete. Warm fireplaces, cozy beds and very quiet if you want it to be. Have to recommend the Pheasant Inn for fabulous food too. We'll definitely be back in the summer for another break to hopefully make use of the bbq and...
